  1. I think that the Sox should shy away from the big names when it comes to the trading deadline. The Marlins will be asking insane deals for Willis, and the A's will be too for Zito. I think the Sox should start getting in contact with the Twins for Brad Radke. Although Radke is having a really tough season so far, I believe a change of ballparks will bring him back to his 4.00 ERA level and he'd make a good five starter. Another option could be the Giant's Jason Schmidt.
  2. Hey, the name's Rich. I'm from Southern Mass, right near where the Patriots have brought home championships. I am a Red Sox fanatic, and I love the sport of baseball. I am also a big Pats fan, and the Celtics are my team in basketball. I'm not a big time basketball or hockey fan, but I dabble. Hope to get to know some of you guys!
  3. After the Celtic's eliminated themselves, I really wanted a Cavs-Clippers series. However, now that they've been eliminated, I am hoping for a Suns-Heat series. I wouldn't mind watching some 125-120 games.
  4. This is a very interesting question. I think I would rather just keep the players where they are. This is simply because that the players seem to be blooming where they are, and who wants to mess with that at this stage in their career?
  5. I believe the Tigers will fall behind after the trading deadline when the White Sox make whatever moves they need to to put them over the top. The White Sox are still just too good in my eyes.
  6. I watched Dontrelle a little bit today against the Mets, and I honestly don't think he'd be a good fit in Boston. He gave up a lot of fly balls, which is never good in the small park we have, especially for lefties. Also, getting him would definately cost some serious prospects, and that's something that Theo is very weary of doing. I believe that the Yankees won't have the ability to get him either, however. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up if he is traded.
  7. I believe it will look something like this: 1: Coco Crisp, CF 2: Mark Loretta, 2B 3: David Ortiz, DH 4: Manny Ramirez, LF 5: Trot Nixon / Wily Mo Pena, RF 6: Jason Varitek, C 7: Kevin Youkilis, 1B 8: Mike Lowell, 3B 9: Alex Gonzalez, SS I really like the look of this lineup. Coco and Loretta could make one of the best combos at the top of any lineup in the American League. Ortiz and Manny, of course, will be who they have been forever. Nixon and Pena will add a nice power threat behind Manny, and Tek will hopefully pick up the average a little bit. Youkilis will be a "second leadoff" behind Varitek, with Lowell cleaning up in the back of the lineup. Gonzo is the nine guy with the bunt and steal threat.
