ok, after Varitek tagged the batter, he was out. The ball was ruled fair but Tek tagged the batter. Since the guy going to first is out, the guy going to second has to be tagged, because it is not a force out, Gonzalez did not tag williams

Williams had to be tagged because after Cairo was out it was not a force out, and Gonzalez did not make the tag, so Cairo is still out but Bernie is not

it was fair and a DP, then reversed at the drop of Joe Torre's hat and called a fair ball out for Cairo but Williams was not tagged

Just a couple comments: I like the lineup adjustment to move Tek down and get him swinging again. Ramirez is a beast against Mussina Philips has been the key to the Yanks lineup with the injuries and we better hope Cano doesnt keep getting on against us
