  1. Choi has 2 HR is 2 nights, hitting the ball very well, some key RBIs in the last couple nites for Pawtucket
  2. I would not move pedroia for Smoltz. We are talking about a future starting middle infielder with great potential. We have other guys we could move for Smoltz, but the AL/NL question comes up and I really don't think you are going to get Smoltz for less than a can't miss prospect, not from the Braves
  3. I hope Lowell plays in this game, he has good experience against Smoltz
  4. 09 i do believe Have you guys seen Huckaby's funky catching stance, the one where he basically sits on the ground. I heard someone say that another Red Sox catcher, um, the guy who caught Clemens, used to do it that way. He's not our future, just thought it was interesting
  5. also, everyone knows they will get to see the pitches with Youk up there Coco, not so much, but Coco is definitely still a good offensive player, he just nas not gotten back into the swing of things since his injury
  6. Ghana beat the Czechs Italy beat Ghana
  7. the two yellow card suspension thing is ridiculous. I still think Ghana has a chance to get out of the group though, the USA will have troubling beating them
  8. however, Hansen pitched pretty well, 2.2 IP, no ER or R, 1 BB, K, 1 H allowed i think Hee-Sop Choi had the big 2 run homer to win the game for the Pawsox Murphy had a bad night to say the least. He could not adjust to hit them. Pedroia is looking very good, he went 3-4 i think and he also made two very nice defensive plays, his range is improving.
  9. yeah, he was terrible. I was there and everytime he threw the fastball they bopped it into the outfield, and Richmond is not very good, no really great prospects
  10. Kyle Lohse is a little risky for my liking. He blew up so bad early this season the Twins sent him down and gave Boof Bonser some starts
  11. having too many centerfielders is not that bad. We can always have our second best for emergency trade bait. Lowell is fine for another year or two, maybe time enough to grab another 1B and then move Youk back
  12. man it would be a great trade if we could get Perez for Seanez and a mediocre prospect
  13. im going to the Pawsox game tonite in Richmond, Alvarez is startin, sizing up his chances to step up sometime
  14. I just thought I would put this out there. Here is the list Jayson Stark says is likely to be traded. To see whole article, follow link: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=2485721&campaign=rss&source=MLBHeadlines
  15. he pulled a JJ Redick and got a DWI
  16. i would not go for that, while Mulder is great, he has been struggling and is getting older. Also, our outfield cant take the hit right now
  17. did Joe morgan just say they threw Ortiz out?
  18. do you think being indoors bothers them, Youk never swings at pitches like that
  19. first start, I call that pretty good, especially since they won and he had enough guts to go and get hits
  20. completely agreed, Riske was starting to come on, from injury Seanez just sucks But we needed a lefty and if Riske was the price, i dont think it was a bad move, it could turn out to be brilliant. I think Theo knows more on this guy, formerly in our system, than the White Sox do
  21. Kapler/Nixon mite be the next Kapler/Nixon combo, Kaps is supposed to be ready soon
  22. ok, the whole name thing confused me
  23. wait, who the hell did we trade for or was that a false rumor?
  24. crap, but at least it wasnt a DP
  25. yep, but not a good result
