Youks needs to go back to leadoff ASAP....especially vs LHP. I know stats say Crisp did not have much of a reverse split last year..but he looks to me to be a MUCH better LHH. he looks pretty bad as a RHH so far...this could be attributed to his finger.. At any rate, I would much rather have Youks getting that extra AB vs. a Lefty.. Youks should be the leadoff hitter period. I agree with the notion that Coco can be effective using his speed at the bottom of the order. Youks getting on for the Loretta/Ortiz/Manny gauntlet to me, is key to our teams success.

I agree with most of what you said. And to my recollection Tito did this a few times in 2004..and nobody can argue with his results..but c'mon. You can have Snow and Mirabelli in the lineup..maybe even Cora...but not Snow/Mirabelli/Cora/AND Harris. That is simply too many TERRIBLE hitters in one lineup.. You gotta give some kind of effort.

I am pretty sure I don't particularly like his contract...but Scott Eyre might be a nice addition to our pen come July 31st and he might not commmand all that much. Would be nice to have a lefty out there who doesn't suck.

agreed...Holtz is terrible. I would rather take my chances with anything we have rather than give that Jobber any chances.

I for one am getting pretty sick and tired of seeing lineups with Cora/Willie/and MiraJobber....not to mention J.T. Snow. Yesterday was the Worst Major League lineup I can remember the Red Sox sending out there in recent years. I know you gotta give people a rest now and again and the Snows and Willies have to play sometime in order to not start rusting on the bench..but do they ALL need to be in the lineup for the 2nd Game yesterday, with an OFF-Day on Monday, against the Western Division Leading Texas Rangers? We had just eeked out a Dramatic 5-4 victory on the shoulders of Big Papi once again...and Terry decides..OK...we got our split..let's rest now? I know Youks is dinged up and Manny has been banged up..but they get a day off Monday. I know Terry likes to couple a day off with a scheduled day off in order to give the player a total of 2... but man... You cannot send that lineup out there and possibly expect to compete with a team like the Rangers against a AA pitcher. It seems to me Terry threw that game yesterday and it is not the first time he has done this. If I were attending yesterdays game I would want my money back.. That was a second rate product Tito sent out there.. It was a f***ing disgrace.

Rudy is garbage.. we fight back..he let's them get the runs right back.. Absolute garbage. He should be relegated to garbage time duty right now..he will be there once Timlin gets back..that's for sure. Also..I am all set with Tavarez in tight games..is there a more INCONSISTENT pitcher in the game than Julian Tavarez? I am sick of him as well.

If giving up 11 hits and 6 runs, while walking 3 in 4.1 innings does not BLOW..I don't know what does. My anger is not wqith Paulie..he is a AA pitcher. It is with Theo for killing us with that Arroyo trade when he knew there were question marks with Wells and Clement all winter. He needs to do something to get us a pitcher. We cannot keep going like this.

So what? He is terrible..sorry/ It is not his fault..it is Theo's fault. He should have never been put in this situation. It is Theo's gfault fopr leaving us thin in pitching and trading Arroyo. Sorry..there is a reason the saying goes//"You can never have enough pitching"..and with Clement's implosion late last season and Wells's health and attitude we chould have NEVER traded Arroyo.

Terrible performance by a kid who had NO business being there. I cannot believe we have a $130 mill payroll.. unilimted resources, relatively speaking, and this is the best we can run out there? I have been biting my tongue all night..this kid is TERRIBLE. He got slaughtered out there.. We are LUCKY to be ahead. We may need 3 innings from Paps tonight. Please..Paulie has been terrible. I know he is just a kid..but he looks like a AA pitcher.. He is not ready for the Majors..he will be right back down to AA. Paulie has been very fortunate tonight.
