  1. He's done nothing but help the Yankees. That's too bad, maybe a chance to see what the fuss is about Hughes? Or just Karstens?
  2. Thank you. That was needed. Remember that year, half the season we played .500 ball? Don't give up. Don't gimme reasons why you should. Just don't.
  3. I would rather see another 1st round loss to the wild card team. The Tigers are a very well rounded team, similar to last year's White Sox. They have a great rotation 1-5, there is no given day where Tigers fans think they cannot win (we've got 3). Their playoff rotation will be: Rogers, Verlander, Bonderman, and Robertson, a very good rotation. They have a great offense, 1-9, with no easy out. When your #9 hitter has 21 homers in August, something is right (don't mention the .243 average, just do not). They have a spunky leadoff hitter, Granderson, a perfect 2 hitter when Polanco returns, if he does, Magglio Ordonez is having a great year after injuries, and after getting Sean Casey, they now also have Dmitri Young back. Their bullpen is strong, with Zumaya, who should close, Rodney, a quality 2nd setup man. Todd Jones is not a very good closer, with an ERA in the 4's, but he gets the job done, with 34 saves. He has the mental toughness to do it, being a veteran. And, might I add, a poor sportswriter. They have a good manager in Jim Leyland, who, similar to Jack McKeon of the 2003 Marlins, is old, and has been out of managing for a decent amount of time. Prediction: Yankees, Tigers, Athletics, Twins in the AL, Mets, Cardinals, Dodgers, Reds in the NL. Twins and Tigers in the ALCS, Mets and Dodgers in the NLCS. Tigers over Mets in the World Series, 4 games to 2.
  4. Andruw Jones? If you're going to get an Andruw Jones, why for just one year? Anyways, if Gordon Edes says it, like Bob Ryan, it must be true.
  5. ORS, I know, I was just sayin'.
  6. I root for good baseball outside of Sox and Yanks, and now White Sox and Twins.
  7. Nah, that's cool, but why do you root for the AL, even the Yanks? I consider them the same league basically, just 2 sections.
  8. Arod2212, the Red Sox last week held a Radio Telethon for the Jimmy Fund. We can share the cancer survivors. WE CALL LANCE! Hah...
  9. Part of a group that has season tickets and we split them, only weekday night games though. I get about 10 a year, plus a Rockies game this year.
  10. Sect. 24 granstand row 10 here. If Pedro and Glavine are strong and healthy, I gotta say the Mets. I would root for LA if Mueller didnt get hurt.
  11. Yeah I was at that game too Crunchy, and I said they were my WS pick.
  12. C-Bailey 1B-Pena INF-Pedroia, Machado OF-Murphy, Stern P-Lopez, Van Buren, DiNardo, Ginter, Breslow, Alvarez, Pauley Maybe Chris Smith and Brad Baker
  13. That's a lot of K's, around 300.Unlikely.
  14. Isn't that kind of redundantly repititive?
  15. Next year? I want this year! Youth movement, guys! Start Bowden every game!
  16. Yanks fans: why no Mo?
  17. Over, Beltre HR, 6-5.
  18. Yanks lose 6-5 on Beltre walkoff, Sox lose no ground in anything.
  19. Yeah I agree wit jsing, Sox FO will keep Tito until at least the end of 2007, good choice or not (not)
  20. I need to rant! WHY ARE THESE f***ING BUGS SO ANNOYING? WHY IS MY COMPUTER LAGGING? WHY DO WE SUCK?
  21. Bitch...but Tito's more upset about dropping his tobacco.
  22. I hate the small sample sizes of batter-pitcher numbers, like Youk's 2 for 3, and all of the sudden you're pinch hitting him to come in (not tonight, but the matchups should be thrown out the window until they've faced each other 30 times or so)
