  1. Yup. The two teams match up in about 11% of the games they each play. And the rotations will almost definitely be messed up by the time they first meet. It's just a case of who is the better pitcher on any given day.
  2. Hate to say it but you may be right. WMP doesn't suck...Schilling and maybe even Wakefield could be gone next year, and even if Lester can start, it leaves one more open hole. There will be a lot of FA pitchers, maybe we can go after one of the big guns.
  3. I would do it if I were the Yankees...Cabrera isn't a stud guys...Gonzalez is a damn good reliever. Pitching is much more valuable than hitting, and the Yankees need more pitching.
  4. 10 games, just cause of fielding? Seems a tad extreme
  5. Kyle Farnsworth=God
  6. Hmm...funny you bring up Mark Loretta. Loretta in fact, in 2006, began at the Mendoza line...217 average in April. He finished at a .285 rate.
  7. He isn't going to hit .330.
  8. Then why make a prediction? If you're just repeating last years results, but minus the injuries...why make a prediction. Just copy everyone who was healthy's 2006 stats, and everyone who was injured's career averages....it's pointless.
  9. The "downyear" for Posada is 10 points lower on the AVG and OPS and 3 less homers...that doesn't really count as a down year. You're basically putting everyone at their ceiling. It will not be as good as this.
  10. Nixon is better than Drew when they're both in their prime, or when Nixon is and Drew isn't? Losing me here...
  11. 6 of 9 guys hit over .300...a .295 team average. 228 homers just in the lineup. Wowza...
  12. Hah...forgot about Riv.
  13. Links make the world go round.
  14. Come to think of it, didn't George get mad at Cashman for not offering Ortiz a contract?
  15. Didn't the Yankees want Ortiz? Of course, there are countless other examples of the Yankees beating the Sox...Bernie Williams comes to mind.
  16. I saw the highlights of that...it seemed like it had more of the dudes in the suits than the players.
  17. But oops...he's not. Sorry!
  18. If we finish 4th we'll get respect? Go for it!
  19. Yeah...the Timlin, Delcarmen, Donnelly closer crew isn't gonna work out so well.
  20. In that case he's terrible and we shouldn't consider him for the job... Small sample size maybe?
