  1. If I were the Yankees I wouldn't rush back Wang for the Sox series. It's just April, the game counts the same as all others. I'd rather have him there for 5 months healthy than that start and the injury to come back up.
  2. Wood all around. Metal is way too dangerous, and balls carry too much.
  3. On ESPNEWS, Buster Olney said he could be gone for the year. Never like to see anyone get hurt, but this basically takes Toronto out of the East equation (if they were ever really in it.)
  4. I was too lazy to check the box score, so I just read the thread. You'd be amazed how much more insight you get in the game threads than box scores.
  5. So the probables for the weekend series would be: Schilling-Pettitte Beckett-Karstens Matsuzaka-Wright ?
  6. As for my IDEAL pitching staff: Walter Johnson Cy Young Roger Clemens Pedro Martinez (1998-2002) Greg Maddux Dennis Eckersley Mariano Rivera Rollie Fingers
  7. Thumper, no Beckett or Schilling?
  8. My dad said he heard they would move tomorrow's game to later in the day.
  9. So Curt's been nice so far I see. Like 38 pitches in the first 4 innings? How many in the last 2?
  10. Good, I would rather have Tavarez face the Angels, a weaker hitting club, than the Blue Jays.
  11. Who's stating that?
  12. If he cant play here why keep him?
  13. A couple things I noticed about Matsuzaka last night: -He was inconsistent. Some batters he'd get ahead 0-2 easily, some guys 3-0. There didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this. -He had trouble putting away batters once he got ahead with 2 strikes. This is shown by the 4 strikeouts. -He is now a clubhouse hero for hitting Jose Guillen.
  14. According to their AAU coach? I'd take it with a grain of salt.
  15. Not really...it seemed the fans were more ecstatic/relieved that there would be no no hitter than cheering for Felix.
  16. I don't wish ill on the players, just the team. These guys are dropping like flies. I want Hughes to come up, I wanna see the future, even if he dominates.
  17. What a game. s*** was mad intense before the first pitch. The flash bulbs were unreal. As for the game, Felix Hernandez was nasty. He worked fast, and there weren't too many hard hit balls. He owned us tonight. Matsuzaka was rocky throughout; he never really had an easy going. Felix Hernandez is/is going to be a real fun pitcher to watch in the future. Almost saw a no-no tonight.
  18. Here's what I prepared: 2 in a row, why not keep the mojo going (EDIT: Grr...)? Today should be a fantastic game. Matsuzaka vs. Ichiro, Matsuzaka vs. Hernandez, a couple of nice matchups there. The media will eat this one up. I think this one should go down to the wire, but I'm calling a 5-3 Sox win here. 19. A Rod is so money right now, it's ridiculous.
  20. I said it once and I'll say it again, this game makes me and many others feel good. Bats exploded, especially Varitek, and Beckett was filthy.
  21. We need to keep the Coco D mojo going tomorrow.
  22. According to Don Orsillo, in 2005, Jose Guillen spotted some pine tar in Donnelly's glove and told Frank Robinson. That could play into this...
