  1. I really hope he would not be in the 08 rotation. As BoSox21 said, we have a lot of guys ahead of him in line: Beckett, Dice, Lester, Wake, Buchholz, Tavarez, and the possible FA or trade acquisition (Zambrano/Buehrle?). He's an emergency starter, and a possible long reliever.
  2. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2910079 Michael Barrett for Rob Bowen and a Spect. Many saw this coming after the fight with Z. There's really no other reason for this deal. Nice pickup for an already good Padres team.
  3. I like Corpas. He was a guy I targeted in March as a possible sleeper.
  4. Nice job by Beckett today. Snyder and Paps were both shutdown, and Okajima was okay despite the walk. Sox win, 45-25. Rubber game tomorrow, Julian Tavarez-Buddy Carlyle.
  5. NL: MVP: 1. Jose Reyes 2. Miguel Cabrera 3. Prince Fielder CY: 1. Jake Peavy 2. Brad Penny 3. Ian Snell ROY: 1. Hunter Pence 2. Chris Sampson 3. Justin Germano
  6. Hamels isn't a rook.
  7. I'll do top three each. AL: MVP: 1. Magglio Ordonez 2. Alex Rodriguez 3. Vladimir Guerrero CY: 1. Dan Haren 2. James Shields 3. John Lackey ROY: 1. Reggie Willits 2. Jeremy Guthrie 3. Daisuke Matsuzaka
  8. Not a f***ing chance Rent got 2nd.
  9. Moving Andruw Jones down to 6th definitely makes sense.
  10. It's definitely a possibilty. The White Sox centerfielder right now is Luis Terrero, and it is normally Darin Erstad (hurt). Both suck, despite Terrero's solid performance in 53 at bats. I think they would definitely be open to acquiring either Coco Crisp or Wily Mo Pena to fill in that slot.
  11. With Schilling's possible injury, he could need a DL stint. However with the June 21st offday, the Sox won't need a starter in his place until June 26th, with Beckett and Tavarez both being pushed up from 5 days rest to 4. Since the 26th would be a Tavarez start, Lester would fit in perfectly if their rotation spots continue to be aligned. This is all of course if Schill is seriously hurt.
  12. Weirdest stat just shown on NESN: on Thursdays-Sundays, Sox are 31-10. On Mondays-Wednesdays, they're 13-15.
  13. Hughes just doesn't excite me. His career in MLB has been s***, and he's already 29. Nothing really enticing.
