  1. It does seem like he's going out of his way to be an asshat. I didn't mind George that much, because he waited to do his trash talking after he won championships. Hank hasn't won s*** yet, he can't talk.
  2. Despite the fact that I absolutely hate the man, I also like the quote. Its funny.

  4. Kilo, I think whats hes looking for is one team with two all stars, 1 from each league.
  5. So 1 guy from each of the 2007 All Star teams? Well: C: Joe Mauer 1B: Mark Teixiera 2B: Brandon Phillips 3B: Ryan Braun SS: Hanley Ramirez LF: Matt Holliday (NL All Star) CF: Curtis Granderson RF: Nick Markakis DH: Travis Hafner Bench (I'll try to make it a realistic bench): Backup C: Geovany Soto Backup 1B: Daric Barton Backup INF: Stephen Drew Backup OF: Luke Scott Backup UTIL: Ryan Theriot SP: Johan Santana (AL All Star), Erik Bedard, Felix Hernandez, Carlos Zambrano, Scott Kazmir Bullpen (Again I won't stack closers): Joe Nathan, Matt Capps, Jonathan Broxton, Carlos Marmol, Heath Bell, Rafael Betancourt. Whats the over/under on wins?
  6. I'm going with 79 and 3rd place for the Rays. Mark it down.
  7. I think he is saying he's glad you don't have him.
  8. I don't think so.
  9. Wouldn't be surprising. If the Rays youngsters pan out, i.e. Longoria, Upton, and if Rocco Baldelli is healthy, and Pena doesn't completely regress, its very possible.
  10. Low risk, high reward deal. Nothing to not like about it.
  11. He managed 4 straight sub .500 Phillies teams from 1997-2000.
  12. Oh. That went right over my head. :dunno:
  13. If Bonds was signed by the Yankees, you think A-Rod would overshadow him? I really doubt it.
  14. That would definitely not guarantee anything.
  15. Manny will not play for the Yankees in 2009.
  16. Great first post, and great user name! Welcome!
  17. I agree that Lugo at 9 mil is a ripoff. Jeter at 20 mil isn't exactly a bargain either. The question is, is Jeter more than twice as good as Lugo? I would say yes, he is. Jeter in 07: .322 BA, .388 OBP, .452 SLG, 53.3 VORP Lugo in 07: .237 BA, .294 OBP, .349 SLG, -1.3 VORP Not even close. Lugo has the edge in speed and fielding, but in hitting, they're not even comparable.
