    Offense just wasn't there tonight. Lester was brutal in the first 3 and settled down pretty nicely. Reverse lock on the pitching matchup tomorrow to take the series.

    Crawford was placed on the 15-day DL today. Too bad, but I don't imagine he'll be out longer than the DL stint lasts. The corner OF officially sucks for the next two weeks, so let's win in spite of it.

    College World Series begins today with Vanderbilt-UNC and Florida-Texas. UNC up 3-2 in the 5th now. Sonny Gray (18th overall) is struggling for Vandy.

    Not to mention its tampering by the teams that contacted him. Very excited to see his debut. Hope he can meet his potential.

    The Mariners are one of my favorite non-Red Sox teams to watch. Dustin Ackley just made his debut and got a hit in his first AB. Along with Felix, Pineda, Smoak, Halman, etc, they have some awesome young talent. Not to mention Ichiro is always fun to watch. Anyway, if they hold on against the Phils tonight they'll only be 1/2 game behind the Rangers.

    Nice to see the bats come alive after a brief nap in Tampa. Lackey settled down very nicely for the last 5 innings and actually put together a solid outing. I am slowly gaining some semblance of faith in him. Hopefully Crawford is fine after a couple days off, and hopefully Youkilis can restrain himself from puking on the field to play tomorrow. And YOTN needs to post in the GT more often, that was a fun read. They probably will. I was at the game when they honored the Celtics after their title, and the trophy was there.

    My boss happens to be Theo Epstein's twin brother, and he took me to a game once. We went into Theo's luxury box and I talked to Theo and Dwight Evans. It was amazing. I think I posted about it here after it happened.
