  1. I ended up being wrong about that. Still, Bartlett should not be on any MVP ballots.
  2. Not automatically, but the problem with the bullpen was the Timlins and Aardsmas rather than the MDCs and Mastersons. We still need to address that, if Masterson starts.
  3. Hot place like Arlington+Enormous Man= http://philip9876.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/nuclear-explosion.jpg
  4. Emphasis on "in place". They could have a verbal agreement with a team and then only make it official once Tex is signed.
  5. lol, Richardson.
  6. I would be surprised if he went anywhere other than New York.
  7. He'll also play wherever he goes. The Red Sox will not platoon Teixeira.
  8. Yeah, they would not sign Tex without a deal in place (or done) with Lowell.
  9. Yeah the Crisp-Ramirez deal may actually close this deal off more than it opens it, with Masterson probably moving to the rotation. Papelbon, Okajima, MDC and Ramirez is a good base for the bullpen, with Javier Lopez being solid too.
  10. Stop listening to that. Now. No seriously, turn off your radio. Where do I begin... Ellsbury 500 HRs!!!one! And yeah I don't like the Baldelli idea. Maybe, in theory, as a fifth outfielder, but not as the backup that can't play more than twice a week. I think that mantra was closed a while ago. Agreed. We will probably have to eat some of Lowell's contract, and I don't think it would be worth it unless we get Tex. Probably will not happen though.
  11. http://blog.seattletimes.nwsource.com/mariners/2008/11/18/wakamatsu_gets_job.html Don Wakamatsu is going to be the next Seattle manager.
  12. I missed that part. I don't really care though.
  13. I definitely said the exact same thing.
  14. Yeah the whole award/process is pretty flawed.
  15. Yeah let's not go too far. Remember Nomar and Tony C.
  16. Yeah the WEEI'ers were douchebags too, but Grant seemed annoying defensive. Is that how they always act with guests (I don't listen much).
  17. Grant's List: 1. Youkilis 2. K-Rod 3. Morneau 4. Hamilton 5. Quentin 6. A-Rod 7. Lee 8. Mauer 9. Sizemore 10. Pena wut...Good thing Pedroia actually won. According to the audio, he used OPS, BA w/ RISP and Clutch hitting as his basis for voting. Which are basically the only stats in which he doesn't deserve the award. Conspiracy!!1! EDIT: For bonus, the guy is a douche.
  18. How much trust are you putting in him though? Is he the 2009 Colon or is he in the rotation? He was pretty awful in 2008--was he playing hurt or is he just over the hill?
  19. Hahaha. At least I have a good reason for liking them, my parents went there.
  20. That seems like what he would want, but I don't see a Pedro-Sox reunion.
  21. Richmond-Syracuse on ESPN now, Richmond up 4 late in the 1st, good game so far. Syracuse is another of my favorites.
  22. Has anyone accomplished what Pedroia has in his first two years? WS title, ROY, MVP, Silver Slugger and Gold Glove. Most guys don't do that in a career.
  23. Not really a surprise. Someone has to take a flier on him.
