  1. Not really. Cy Youngs are stupid anyway and they say nothing about one's career.
  2. Right now both are in the rotation.
  3. I guess I'm interested if we can't get Byrnes with Montero.
  4. Olney had talked about a Andruw Jones for Luis Castillo trade, still may happen. Would they really eat 20/22?
  5. Yes, I was saying good rate relative to his production.
  6. Oh right, he signed an extension, good call. So he's still controlled for six years at a good rate.
  7. RSN is not the front office.
  8. I think they would want more than that. This guy's a top five player in MLB and is making league minimum for the next few years.
  9. Since they're both pitchers who aren't under contract by the Red Sox?
  10. Well hey there friend. Already got this covered.
  11. I would think it was more of a feeler than a straight offer.
  12. Right now I would go: Yankees, Rays, Sox. Oh what am I saying? I meant: you're a duncetard. You duncetard, you.
  13. Suck an idiot dude, you're a dick. :dunno:
  14. He was rumored to possibly move to CF when he was in Boston, I think because of Pedroia and Lowrie. He's not a good shortstop.
  15. Yeah I read the MLBTR blurb and edited my post.
  16. Talks have ended. Florida has Maybin but I guess they would have moved Ellsbury to a corner OF spot, maybe later moving Hermida to make room for Mike Stanton.
  17. I'm not giving the division to anyone, that's not what this was about.
  18. Last 3 yrs: Abreu OPS: .886, .814, .842 Swisher OPS: .865, .836, .752 I think it's fair to assume Swisher's 2008 is an outlier. Other than that the OPS's are pretty similar.
  19. Now the division is a lot harder. In the Yankees' run there was a lot less competition in the East. Now that there are three legitimate division winners, it's unrealistic to ask for constant playoff appearances, which is what I was saying.
  20. You need a backup catcher, and having one assigned to Wakefield is a good way to guarantee rest for the starter. It's hard to catch a knuckleball and it takes a lot of practice, and the results would be worse if there were two guys catching Wake.
  21. lulz
  22. Explain how there is any correlation. He opts not to get injured on purpose when there is a new contract at hand? He ups his dosage?
  23. Yep, and I believe a platoon is the best thing. But I like your idea:
