    few.... I really want to get this in. It's one of the only games I can watch in my home, instead of going to the local watering hole to view NESN, which I unfortunately do not get. Go Sox tonight! Maybe we can pull a Randy Johnson and kill some birds.

    I'm pumped for this. I just have that feeling that beckett's going to have one of those games that is realllly going to get them going on a win streak. play ball!

    Wow, I don't know about Boston Sports Radio because I am not there, but New York talk radio sucks. mike and the mad dog, its listening to this guy ramble in a high pitched voice about one topic for 5 hours and then having these stupid people call in while Mike Francesa reads the paper. It's f***ing stupid.

    yea thats a great blog. go celtics... anyway I was really into blogging, but just about life during the summer, then I got all bogged down in work and such, no more blogging. but red sox season has come so my blog came back(in my signiture). it just started for this year, couldn't find the link to the old one.

    Schill is fine, they had a rough stretch there and he will get back up. There'll be a mid july game where he'll pitch a complete game three hitter with 12 K's and we will all be like, the 133 pitch game?? what the hell is that.

    he'll hit a ton, but not enough to break the record. He will be considered one of the greatest hitters of the era when all is said and done though.

    i like youkilis in the leadoff spot, makes us look different. Of course coco will be a more typical leadoff hitter but I agree all is well right now, we need a 5 starter.

    Yea the injuries scared me at first with beckett but come on, he is an electric pitcher when he is on and he is very young. to pair dontrelle willis, curt schilling, josh beckett, tim wakefield, matt clement, would be the ultimate rotation. Get crisp healthy and then we'd be smokin!

    i really dislike predictions by either side... shaugnessey last year "yankees will not win al east" and steinbrenner and his random guaruntees. let them play it out. I am confident.

    ben harper, a musician I am very fond of, has a great song on his new album... one of the verses is... in 1918 the great bambino kicked a piano into willis pond but johnny damon swung a bat grand slam that was that an 86 year curse is gone great musicians are great baseball fans, and if he is not a sox fan he still appreciates history... I thought that was cool

    trading papelbon, which will never happen, would be the yankees trading us a-rod, which I hope to god never happens. bottom line that would awful... paps is going to be a great pitcher, starter or closer. hell he already is

    but a major storm is passing through anyway, so that makes no sense. the game would have been cancled anyway, and even if they wanted dinardo not to pitch, the umps would have suggested canceling it anyway.

    we need a win here, if beckett is sharp, which he is perfectly capable of being we really need to give him run support. The jays are right behind us, and not like standings really matter by 1 game or a half a game this early, but from a morale standpoint it would be nice if we could get a win.

    Maybe big blasts from willy mo and big papi can push wakefield over and we can ride on the momentum from last nights victory.

    I still think Beckett vs the Yanks is going to be great. I mean, they dont have the same team but beckett handled them in the 03 series. I don't know about wake though, with some run support he can pull it out.
