    This poll asks two separate questions. Is he worth his contract? Probably not. But he's not as far off as some of the mouth breathing Sox fans would have you believe. Is he the problem on this team? He's not having a fantastic offensive season, but a 107 OPS+ with his defense in RF at Fenway has a lot of value. I'll say it again, the main problems with this team are the back end of the rotation and David Ortiz. Not much else.

    I was watching with my fiance and future brother in law, once Martinez hit the HR I turned to them and said "it's going to really suck when they blow this." When Tex's ball left the yard they both looked at me with the weirdest look on their faces. I could do nothing but laugh, and bid them goodnight and drove home.
