  1. Good for him. He didn't deserve to get dicked around like he did.
  2. TEN @ HOU - Without Andre Johnson, Houston's offense kinda sucks. I'll take Tennessee to win the game outright, even if Kerry Collins is at QB. DET vs. TB - Tampa had a nice win last week against Tennessee, and Detroit seems susceptible to teams with good defenses (Washington two weeks ago). I like TB here. NE @ MIA - 16.5 points is an obscene line. OBSCENE. I'll take it anyway because the Dolphins are the worst team in the NFL. NO vs. ATL - New Orleans found some offense last week against a decent Seattle team. Atlanta is not a decent team. I'll take the Saints. NYG vs. SF - Eli Manning has looked good. The defense has looked good. The question with the Giants is will the drop off like they did last year. I believe Alex Smith is still out, so I'll err on the side of caution and pick the favorite. BAL @ BUF - The Bills offense is bad. Ravens in a defensive battle. WAS vs. ARI - The Redskins' offense disappeared in the second half last week. But, if Tim Rattay is the starter for ARI, it won't matter. I'll take Washington. OAK vs. KC - Oakland got carved up by LT last week. LJ got on track last week. Chiefs in a close one. CIN vs. NYJ - Both surprisingly bad teams. I'll take the one with the better offense. Cincy. PHI vs. CHI - Chicago's defense has struggled. McNabb and the Eagles' offense has struggled. Devin Hester plays a role in the Bears win. SEA vs. STL - Bulger comes back, and leads struggling Rams to surprise win. DAL vs. MIN - Childress feeds the beast that is Adrian Peterson, Vikes win. PIT @ DEN - Taking the better team. Pittsburgh's defense will harass Cutler. IND @ JAX - As good as Jacksonville has been, Indy's the second best team in the league.

  4. Hope he doesn't go, but he's definitely earned a shot.
  5. Where would you play him? He doesn't play CF, and you have a LF and a DH. Hindsight is 20/20 isn't it. To what team, and for what? Be specific please. Who? If Papelbon is a starter then who closes for you? Keep in mind Okajima was not thought of as a viable option until AFTER Papelbon went back to closing. Besides, Papelbon wants to close so he's going to close.
  6. lol I was gonna say the same damn thing.
  7. Link? Besides, if the starters could give them more than 4 innings their pen wouldn't have been so taxed. Maybe. Jeter's knee was really bothering him though, it was quite visible so I dunno if you run with him. The rest maybe. If "he doesn't steal enough" is your main criticism, then IMO he shouldn't be fired. In order for stealing to be a worthwhile venture you have to be successful at least 70% of the time. Otherwise you're just consistently running into outs.
  8. Only if you ask Daniel Cabrera, Adam Loewen, Chris Ray, Steve Trachsel, Brian Burres, Garett Olson, Jim Hoey, Jon Leicester, Kurt Birkins, and Danys Baez first.
  9. f*** mojo. Win the goddamned game. SOTK - Check your PMs
  10. lol wut How'd Mazzone do in Baltimore lulz
  11. We're gonna have Lester and Buchholz in the rotation with no AAA backup? Interesting...
  12. Link please. Tell me on what planet is signing a .900 OPS player a bad idea. Like ORS said earlier, if this is how you feel, no cheering for Ellsbury, Buchholz, or Lowrie. Who is your starting 5 then? Won't argue. Won't argue. It's been said numerous times, but this is Lowell's last shot at a big contract. Some team will throw a 4 year deal at him. There is no way he accepts a "1 year deal for a little more than he makes now."
  13. If Coco was a stop gap why did they extend him three years? Matt Clement was sucking before he got hit in the head, but yet, it was a better investment than Wright/Pavano/Igawa. True. No, he was injured. He had a hurt back the whole season and he came to Boston out of shape. "Can't handle the big sports city" might be the dumbest thing ever said. Right on par with "true Yankee" or "Dirt Dog" DiceK Okajima His drafts
  14. They still twisting him in the wind?
  15. Good point, but I guarantee no one last offseason was pining for Jose over Drew.
  16. lol Still, towards the end of the season Ellsbury got some BAD reads off balls hit to CF. Again, I won't complain if Coco's replaced, I just don't think it's as "slam dunk" as everyone else does.
  17. You f***ing sound like a Yankee fan.
  18. Right, but he could be worse defensively. Look I wouldn't object to Ellsbury playing, I just don't think it's as slam-dunk as people think.
  19. Fair enough. I have more faith that Drew turns it around than I do Lugo, that's for damn sure.
  20. Not what the thread is about, and I do think hindsight is a big part of your post.
