  1. Midwest: Interesting region. Lots of intriguing matchups, especially in the lower half of the bracket. Favorite: Georgetown. Experience means a lot to me in this tournament. Two weeks ago I would have said Georgetown would be a candidate for an early exit. The BET chnaged my mind because even though they lost to Pitt, they won games in different ways. 17 3s one night, a dominant performance by Hibbert the next. Dark Horse: Davidson. This would be an awesome 2nd round game, between Georgetown and Davidson. Davidson played UNC tough and had a huge lead on UCLA before losing it. Overrated Team: Wisconsin. I know, they won the B10. I know, they only have 4 losses. I just don't think they're athletic enough to make a run. They'll have their hands full with the winne rof USC/KState. Winner: Clemson. Love this team. If they get hot, their press and athleticism will cause fits. My dark horse FF team.
  2. West: Cakewalk for UCLA. I'd be shocked if they didn't win. I do think a potential S16 game against UConn would be a tougher matchup than an E8 with a weak Duke team. Favorite: UCLA. Experienced team who plays great defense and has added the one missing piece from the last two seasons, a big man who can score. Dark Horse: Western Kentucky. Everyone for some reason LOVES Drake. They rely far too heavily on the three for my liking and Courtney Lee can light it up. I'm calling this for the 5/12 upset this year. Overrated Team: Dook. How can a team that loses two of its last three games be a two seed? Anyone? Winner: I'll take chalk and pick UCLA. My #2 choice would be UConn, though.
  3. East: The most loaded region, IMO. Tennessee has a bit of a rough draw, but then again, no games are easy other than the 1/16 games. Favorite: It has to be North Carolina. The most talented team in the region, hasn't lost a game away from Chapel Hill all year, and they have the player of the year candidate. The question is whether or not they can get enough key stops to win. It's unlikely a team gives up 70+ and wins many games (like the Heels did to Clemson and Va Tech over the weekend), but they have offensive firepower to burn. Dark Horse: Winthrop. I've really enjoyed this team's run the last few years. They are a very dangerous tournament team. In my opinion, Washington State is a very weak 4 and that is a very winnable game for Winthrop. If Winthrop wins and Notre Dame takes care of business against George Mason, it would be a rematch of a first round game last year (which Winthrop won). Overrated Team: Washington State. Very unimpressed with them all year. If you keep Derrick Low in check you can have success against them. Winner: I'll take North Carolina for all the reasons I mentioned above.
  4. I'll break it down region by region, giving my favorite, dark horse, overrated team, and winner.
  5. No preliminary thoughts on the bracket? I'll post mine shortly...
  6. I wish the Yankees were made of 25 Shelley Duncans, too.
  7. Get off your moral high horse. Any time anyone's remotely critical you come in and play the "knight in shining armor" role. You really want to know why people dislike Ben Affleck? http://bostondirtdogs.boston.com/Headline_Archives/BA_10.15reu.jpg
  8. He missed too many games IMO, and even he has a better supporting cast that CP or LBJ.
  9. He did it for charity.
  10. I must have really struck a nerve...about something. I'd like to know what I did to piss you off so much. I despise trolling but it's rather amusing. You call me the loser, and yet every other word out of your mouth is profanity. It's clear you can't respond with any sort of intelligence so you drop to the lowest common denominator. I'd really like to know where I'm contradicting myself as well. Wonder if you just pulled that out of nowhere.
  11. 61* is a fantastic movie.
  12. I agree. Now don't say anything about the Yankees running away with anything.
  13. Mental. Midget.
  14. I can buy this post. I don't necessarily agree with everything in it, but overall I can't take issue with it.
  15. How old are you? I'm being honest. I may have my disagreements with guys like Jacko and Gom, but at least they contribute something to this board and conduct themselves with some kind of intelligence. You, on the other hand...
  16. He said that Duncan's play was "good, aggressive baseball" or something to that effect. How you can call that good, aggressive baseball and bitch about the Elliott Johnson play dirty at the same time reeks of hypocrisy.
  17. Kobe plays with a much better supporting cast. Paul plays with similar talent around him as LBJ does in Cleveland, and Paul plays in that great Western Conference. It's said that Paul is going to get zero love for his season. What I think: Paul LBJ Kobe What will happen: Kobe LBJ Paul
  18. Don't sleep on UConn. Calhoun will have them ready to play. I'd like to see them sit Dyson more.
  19. You're the biggest f***ing idiot on this board. ORS had to basically spell out what I was saying for you. Pete Rose ran over a catcher in an All Star Game. Bush league. You honestly believe going in cleats high is a good play? I'd also like the Yankee fans to comment on the hypocrisy of Joe Girardi. WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMOREEEEEEEEE
  20. So he's a hypocrite. Fantastic.
  21. Chris Paul
