    He has had a s***** year, however Ellsbury's performance this season is exhibit A as to why I didn't want to hand him the starting job coming into this season. 119 ABs is not enough of a sample size to determine future MLB success. Crisp had the opportunity to get more PT when Ellsbury was struggling and didn't take advantage. He's taken a step back from last year. But so has Ellsbury.

Youk is having an incredible 2nd half thus far, very quietly while it shows just how BA inflated Lowell's 2nd half was last year. IOW, Youks has gotten better in the 2nd half this season for the first time in his career - he's really very quietly having an MVP-type season.

    Yeah, it sucks when your team gets decimated by injuries. No one is crying for the Braves and Guardians, right? And they don't have the payroll flexibility to take care of some of their injury problems. Oh, and I've heard quite a bit about Joba being out.
