  1. that would be righteous
  2. Alright Mikey, let's start a god damn rally.
  3. f***, i forgot fossum was a lefty. it seems we cant hit lefties for s*** so far this season.
  4. only 3 of those were earned, 2 were pass balls
  5. only 3 ER on one pitch, other than that i would think he had a diecent night.
  6. f***, talk about wake not getting any run support. yuck!
  7. all foulke cares about is foulke. at least he is honest about it.
  8. alright, enough fun for a night. f***in english homework awaits. see you all here for tomorrow's game.
  9. lol, i can see where you may be comming from. but i would much rather see him suck than have someone else suck.
  10. the world series does i believe, but idk about the WBC. i could be completly wrong.
  11. Good game. Clutch hit by Manny. On WEEI just now they refered to the baserunning misshap by Manny more-or-less and 'Tek like"Little Leaguers on crack". I think that was pretty funny. Sox win and I just heard that my boy Brett Favre is comming back for another season in Green Bay. What a good f***ing night.
  12. i was not saying that bard is bad, i just was trying to say that since the Guardians are going to take advantage of wake's slow set up, the Guardians are going to run all over the place, and it will just add something more bard will have to worry about and that might lead to more passballs coupled with trying to catch knucklers. it will take a while for bard to get used to catching for wake, and it is nice to see his progress since his first start. very promising. but yea, wake needs to get some f***ing run support. i feel bad for him.
  13. with wake on the mound the Guardians are going to take advantage of wake's slow approach and attempt a lot of steals. so i expect for that game for bard to look pretty shakey and have a lot of passballs. but that is tomorrow, tonite shill is going to shut em down. manny is going to have a 2 hr night against his old club. let's go sox.
  14. i think i read somewhere that the Guardians are the only al opponent that shill has never beat. knock on wood.
  15. Has anyone mentioned Lou Merloni? But in all honesty, mine are Yaz, Fisk, Williams, and Pesky.
  16. The ball that was tossed from Keith Foulke to Doug Mientkiewicz to record the last out in the 2004 World Series is now in the H.O.F. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5532732
  17. my bad, i forgot he was an "elder".
  18. Youk is going to be solid all year. He will have a slump or two, but what MLB hitter doesnt? And for the rest of the prospects, they are just that: prospects. Stern, Mohr, Alvarez, and Delcarmen... Though they have a bright future and I am psyched to see how they progress. As for Youk and Papelbon, I think everyone can agree that they are no longer prospects.
  19. i just saw arroyo pitch last night (brewers v the reds) and his fastball wasn't overpowering, the first batter he faced took him yard after tattooing a fastball, but his fastball he would work away or come inside and got most of his K's on his curve. during the player introductions i had to give him a standing o, and i feel sort of bad for the guy the way the sox sort of promised him a future in boston then traded him. but that is the way of the game.
  20. i agree in the sense that it seems that the "natural evolution" of the game leans towards using instant replay. but do i personally want to see it used? no, not really.
  21. tavarez seems to be the only big question mark. ok, timlin, seanez and folke have been touched up a few times. but it's april! i have faith, they'll come around.
  22. I debated this with myself a few times, but have always shrugged off the potential of using instant replay because I feel it isn't necessary. Baseball has come this far without it, it can continue with out it. As for the increase in bad calls, it's just part of the game. Sometimes the calls go your way and sometimes they don't. Nature of the beast my friend. But if they were to start using instant replay, it should only be used in the playoffs (*cough, cough, A.J. Perzinski, cough*).
