  1. Harold Reynolds picked Ortiz, Berman picked Dye.
  2. MVP--David Ortiz Comeback Pitcher--Curt Schilling Comeback Position Player--Mike Lowell Cy Young--Jonathan Papelbon Best Glove --Alex Gonzalez Best Catch--Coco Crisp Biggest Disappointment of a Pitcher --Julian Tavarez Biggest Disappointment of a Position Player --Jason Varitek
  3. At this point, I'd rather see Tina Cervasio out there every 5th day instead of Jason Johnson, as Gary Tanguay put it, "when this guy gets on the mound, his team knows they have no chance of winning the game".
  4. Who ya got? Im going with Papi, weak competition this year IMO, most of these hitters aren't really HRD type hitters.
  5. Kapler has a stronger arm.
  6. Very interesting, it could possibly be to drive up the price for the Yankees but a 2007 OF of Abreu, Coco, Manny and a 3-4-5 punch of Ortiz-Manny-Abreu could go a long way.
  7. Wow, what happened with Fuentes, 6 ER in 1/3 inning, yikes.
  8. Falmouth Commodores taking the whole thing this year.
  9. B. Kim>Jason Johnson, don't question it.
  10. I went to two Mets-Rockies games last summer.
  11. That lineup is horrible, you need a center in there whether it is Perk or Ratliff but you can't win with 2 guards and 3 forwards. I would say PG Telfair SG Wally SF Pierce PF Jefferson C Perkins Bench PG/SG West SG Allen F Gomes F Green C Ratliff Powe, Rondo, Scal, D. Jones and whoever else makes the team gets little minutes, Green will play more minutes as the season progresses.
  12. YH213, Delonte could start the year starting at PG, but I think over time Telfair will finish the year as the starting point guard. I agree with you about AI, while there is a very small chance they could or could have acquired him, the whole thing was really blown out of proportion by the media and fans.
  13. Ok, first of all read my post again b/c obviously you have reading comprehension problems, Telfair is the better POINT GUARD than Delonte. If you watched any of the games last season, it would become obvious to you that Delonte is not a legit NBA point guard, he did a decent job filling the gap but he is not a great point guard and obviously Ainge agrees by acquring Telfair. I think Delonte is a great combo guard and he can be excellent off the bench, his best quality is shooting and that is not what you want in a point guard.
  14. Unless there is a trade, there will be a battle between D. West and Telfair for the starting PG job, however I think Doc will realize that Telfair is the best PG out of the two and D. West will be a combo guard off the bench.
  15. Great trade, Telfair will turn his career around in Boston and be a great PG, he has weapons he didn't have in Portland, and Telfair has been praising Jefferson. He'll have many assists and is the first pure, pass first point that we've had in a while. Ratliff will be a solid backup center and he will be a valuable trading chip next offseason as his salary will be coming off the books 2 years from now. Unloading Raef's contract was huge and Dickau wasn't going to help in Boston. Unbelievable trade.
  16. I know nobody actually cares about them except for me and YoukoftheNation but it's a special thing when the laughing stock of the major leagues turns into a playoff calibur team that is contending for their division.
  17. This is beautiful, once the laughing stock of their divison, my Rockies are now the NL West's elite team. This thing will go down to the wire with the Blue Crew but the Rox will eventually pull it out and take the division, shocking the haters that roam the board of talksox, that mercilessly jeered the Rockies and their chances before this season. If Holliday, Atkins, Hawpe, and Helton can continue to carry the offensive load, if the SP's can continue to impress, and if Fuentes continues his all-star season, expect this post to be 100% correct.
  18. Will he immediately have the closer job in Cinci or are they going to use him in a SU role first?
  19. ...you can bring one in even if they check
  20. Are the seats section 30 grandstand or box seats?
  21. Wow, thank you so much, cant wait.
  22. Yeah, I'd take 2004 Schill over Ruth, 20 win season, most memorable pitching performance ever for the Sox, and a WS title.
  23. Cy Young Pedro Martinez (circa '99 ASG) Roger Clemens El Tiante Schilling
