  1. Nope, that team is for real. I did some trading after the draft including Randy Moss and Houshmandzadeh for Caddy... and Brian Westbrook and Tatum Bell for Chad.
  2. Our lineup is back...too bad out pitching isn't. :dunno:
  3. 10 team league where you keep 3 players for the next season: QB Michael Vick QB Jake Delhomme RB Shaun Alexander RB Cadillac Williams WR Chad Johnson WR Javon Walker RB/ WR Deshaun Foster RB/WR Drew Bennett TE Kellen Winslow WR/TE Keyshawn Johnson DP Champ Bailey DP Joey Porter DEF Patriots K Jeff Reed (put in a waiver claim for David Akers) Bench Mike Bell Ashley Lelie Ben Troupe Mark Clayton David Carr Atlanta
  4. Notre Dame and BC are my teams. If ND can take the next two games against ranked teams, their schedule is fairly easy the rest of the way. Bad news for BC with Matt Ryan being out against Clemson, he looked great on saturday.
  5. I second that, and good luck to the teams that made the playoffs.
  6. Wow, a one page game thread into the 7th inning...interesting.
  7. Just lose...reverse psychology? Hey, we've tried just about everything else.
  8. No....what's the point of keeping Wells around?
  9. Exactly, same situation as when we traded Freddy Sanchez for Jeff Suppan a few years back. I hope we can get a decent prospect for Wells...or any prospect for that matter.
  10. That stat says a lot.
  11. Keep Cora definitely, he might even be worth resigning in the offseason depending on the direction they want to go with A-Gonz/Lugo. It's certainly possible that we could see Wells moved between now and the 1st.
  12. I agree that when it's all said and done, A-Rod's stats will be better, but I'm just saying that people are making comparisons for more reasons than the fact that they're both NY third basemen. People weren't comparing A-Rod to Ty Wigginton in 2004...
  13. Comparisons are drawn between the two NY third basemen for a reason. A-Rod is the highest paid player in baseball, while Wright made a mere $374,000 this season, however this huge difference in salary does not translate to statistics. A-Rod is not in the top 10 in the AL of average or homers and is in a 3 way tie for 10th in RBI's...nevermind the AL, he doesn't even lead his team in either average, homers, or runs batted in. As of Aug. 29, David Wright's batting average is 15 points higher, he has only 6 less homers, and the same amount of RBI's. David Wright plays good defense while A-Rod shares the lead for errors in the American League. A-Rod is hated by not only fans of rival teams, but also by many fans of his own team. David Wright is a fan favorite and his personality has been praised by many baseball writers. That is why there are comparisons drawn between the two.

  15. First post of the thread: Good call.
  16. He sounded really tense throughout the whole interview, let's just pray that everything works out fine.
  17. Tina Cervasio reported that David Ortiz will return to Boston for tests on a possible heart condition. :ortiz: Get well soon, Ortiz.

  19. At least we don't have A-Rod...
  20. Hazel Mae said it best tonight on SportsDesk..."just kill us all".
  21. Great effort by Pena, and yes that picture is of Mohr.
  22. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7631 Just look at their picture for Dustin Pedroia...that should say enough.
  23. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  24. 'Have they ever not messed something up?' would be a better question.
