  1. http://www.statesman.com/shared-gen/blogs/austin/longhorns/media/SICover_021907_KevinDurant.jpg Weirdest cover I've ever seen...look at #23.

  3. Dinardo sucks.
  4. I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they won it but I'm going to have to wait a few more weeks before I make my prediction.
  5. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. I wasn't the one who predicted a 50 win season in 2008, that was Mr. Crunchy. Don't be putting words in my mouth. I don't think it's out of the question that they could win the division but I agree with you that it'd definitely take a little while for him to adjust to the NBA game just like he's adjusting to the college game.
  6. Give it time. He hasn't really had the chance to dominate yet and he's still recovering from his injury. I expect his play to really hit a new level come tournament time when he's healed and he really has a better understanding of how he can be most effective in their offensive. He's definitely already showing that he's a gamechanger on the defensive end as I've seen players completely avoid going near him in fear of being rejected. I think his offensive and defensive game, for that matter, will only progress with time.
  7. ...are you sure about that? Their record was 2-22 during Pierce's absence....
  8. If you haven't noticed, Paul Pierce was out for over a month...
  9. I'd still take next year's Celtics (if they have Oden or Durant) over the 35-27 2004 Cavaliers.
  10. What does that even mean? you're an idiot.
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the Cavs have a legitimate future hall of fame candidate (Paul Pierce), A PF whose ready to breakout (Al Jefferson), and a player like Greg Oden or Kevin Durant?
  12. Wow...you got me good, of course I've never played basketball, that's why I'm on the high school team...and the NBA is a business. They're paid millions of dollars, they'll get over it. The only people I'd feel bad for would be the fans because they're the ones paying to follow the team. The players are living a dream life with money, cars, and females everywhere they look. Why the f*** should I feel sorry for them? I just want them to win and unfortunately, one of the only ways to actually bring back championship basketball to Boston is to try to draft either Oden or Durant.
  13. I love how people keep saying we need a win to boost the team morale...like whatever morale that the team has left is really going to change after one win following a streak of 18 losses.
  14. http://espn.go.com/ http://espn-ak.starwave.com/photo/2007/0212/mlb_redsoxpitching_412.jpg Is it just me or do I remember seeing the Matsuzaka image on the front page of espn on talksox from somebody making it?
  15. Can't say that I'm surprised because of the disappointment they went through out there after the loss to the Pats. It seems like kinda weird timing though and it seems like it'd be difficult to hire a better option at this point unless they're searching from within.
  16. I can't even imagine what Amare would be like if he never missed time for injuries.
  17. Whatever, I don't know about you but I'm absolutely sick of being in the lower class but not quite the worst in the NBA. That's the equivalent of being stuck in hell in the NBA because it's extremely unlikely to win while rebuilding. So what's the point of winning right now? So we can get the 8th or 9th overall pick instead of having the oppurtunity of drafting a franchise player? This is a lost season and the best option right now is to fantank as Bill Simmons puts it, and hope to draft either Oden or Durant.
  18. I thought he'd slow down towards the end of last season but he stayed fairly consistent. It'll definitely be interesting to see how he pitches his first few starts.
  19. The Red Sox should definitely be ahead of the Mets and Guardians, and hopefully if our rotation lives up to its potential, we'll find ourselves at the top of that list in the spring.
  20. If Matsuzaka can produce immediate results, Beckett can turn it around completely from last season, and Papelbon can easily switch from the closer role to a starter, then I think our rotation has the potential of being one of the best in the league. I also really like the Angels rotation with Weaver and Santana, especially if Colon returns to his old form.
