    I believe the local boy on your list did. I played against him in college and he was half the size he retired at. A possible HoF'r who isn't really mentioned much when the topic comes up. I'd add John Kruk to the list.

    Tanner Boyle had another nice night, 2-5 with the game tying dong. He's hitting .325 and solidifying his ROY selection as we speak.

    Maybe he should lie a lot then bring his nose to the plate, he can't do much worse than with the wood he's been swinging lately. I think he's going to break out soon, he's sucked too long and too hard not to. He can't be that bad.

    Screw that, we picked up Gagne for down the stretch. Use him until his arm falls off, he'll be gone in November anyway. Wow, talk about lost opportunities last night. I WANT MANNY BACK NOW!!!

    Right, so this leaves Gagne, Delcarmen, and possibly both Buchholz and Tavares ahead of him. Add Lopez in lefty situations, and Okajima as the best setup man, and we might not see Timlin throw again. And if he does it probably wouldn't be a very relevant situation. I like Timlin, I just see him getting shuffled further back especially considering how hard he got hit in his last outing. His numbers are OK, but he's not the same pitcher in terms of his stuff, his innings pitched, and the situations he appeared in. Two years ago he was our best setup man, now he's miles from that. I still feel playing in that World Baseball Classic thing was the death knell to his career.
