    That was ONE season. Wake will hopefully AND should be fine. How cool is it to have a knuckle-baller who has the potential to pitch well into his 40's etc? I like TIMMMAAAAAAAY!

    Hey Jackson (you MFY tool ), I should have said GET a closer. Papelbon was overused in a time of desperation (that, IMO, started when Tek went on the DL 8/1/06). I agree his injury wasn't that serious b/c I remember him saying he would have pitched had we been in the hunt (once he got the temporary rest and rehab he needed etc). Just glad it's January and things can go a lot of different ways.

    No problem w/ the confusion. I was posting on a smaller forum that has pretty much died. Noticed my bro Crunch was having success over here and thought I'd jump back in. Plus, I'm so damn excited about Spring Training and the season beginning, and it's a relief to read good/knowlegeable discussions/posts and good banter w/ Yank fans (which is rare especially at the Boston Globe forum, what a nightmare that place can be).

    I think pitchers/catchers report 2/15. Orlando is about 3 hours from Ft. Myers. The blue hairs live in Orlando too, be careful.

    Hey Seano. I'm heading to Spring Training to see 3 games the last week in March (Pirates, Twins, D-Rays)....I'll be sure to report back on the likes of Pedroia etc I still wish they had re-signed Loretta. But who knows maybe Dustan will turn into another Hanley Ramirez but at 2nd, of course.

    By chance, I could only get SEATS for the last 3 games of ST....so whoever plays in the WBC will be back w/ the team so I'll get to see Manny, Papi and Tek....sweeet! I think I heard wrong though, I think Papi pulled out of the Carribbean Tourn. I did hear that Gagne won't pitch for Canada, but Adam Stern will be playing for them.

    Nice thread Riv.... We started on the BH forum around the same time and hated each other at first. But being the caring and sensitive woman I am (HA HA HA HA) and being the MFY fan he is, we found common ground. Give him time and a another chance. He's not THAT bad for a NYY fan, LOL..... I used to compare him to a pain in the ass little brother....you love him but he drives you nuts some of the time and you want to wring his neck! Good luck Riv my baseball bro!
