'Tek gets night off Posted by Steve Silva, Boston.com Staff July 8, 2008 01:15 PM Jason Varitek and Kevin Cash will be splitting catching duties for the next two games, Red Sox manager Terry Francona said today during his weekly appearance on sports radio WEEI. Cash will catch Sox lefty Jon Lester tonight vs. the Twins and Jason Varitek will catch Josh Beckett in tomorrow's 1:05 p.m. series finale at Fenway.

  7. Randy Johnson IMO. BTW, Kevin Cash looks like Keith Foulke's long lost brother. Couldn't stay up for the big finish last night. What's up w/ Paps?

  12. Puhlease! It has nothing to do with that for me. I love this TEAM and it's painful to watch any one of them struggle. Hoping Timaaay is on tonight and we win this series. I hate the Sunday night ESPN game, we'll be lucky if it ends by midnight! Not to mention Miller and Morgan.
  13. Maybe for this reason: Buchholz has faced the Yankees twice this season. After holding them to four hits and a run in six innings at Fenway Park April 11, he was knocked around for seven runs on eight hits in 3 2/3 innings five days later in the Bronx . .

  15. Oh thanks, Singleton, duh! No I have Comcast and only get the broadcast they choose to show.
  16. MLB extra innings is also showing the YES broadcast but I've got Michael Gay, Al Leiter and some African American gentleman I'm not familiar with. No Waldman...whooo....hoooooo!!!!!!! And on XM it's ESPN's broadcast.
  17. My schedule shows it was originally scheduled for 7:05 but they changed it about a month or so ago. No biggie. Hopefully we'll still win, but if not, it's your fault....
  18. Some run support for Josh please!
