  1. I'm not saying Henry is not a problem. My impression is that Lucchino is the bigger problem.
  2. How is that? You can't get rid of the principal owner can you?
  3. No, I have never liked him. But I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and had high hopes that he would succeed. You may be right that no manager would have had success with this current group. But we'll never know for sure. I agree about the top to bottom thing as well. I also want Lucchino gone.
  4. I agree but still think he was the wrong guy to hire.
  5. I'm willing to wait.
  6. I meant for the entire Red Sox organization, smart arse!
  7. Have you all seen the cover of the upcoming 9/10 Sports Illustrated? Not flattering for BV or the Red Sox.
  8. 9. ^ That too!!!
  10. I agree ex1. The manager also has to fall with such a hugely disappointing season. He appears to be miserable anyway.
  11. Happy Labor Day all!
  12. Could being no hit be worse than it already is?? :dunno:
  13. Stop it youngster. You're beginning to repeat yourself, like a700. Not a good sign at your age.
  14. The Oakland announcers are a little too excited about having "Bernie" from "Weekend at Bernie's" in the booth. WOW. Sad.
  15.
  16. Coco in the house! 1-0
  17. Hey! I've got the game on the MLB Network. Who'da thunk it????
  18. I didn't see it as a positive about BV and hope he was hinting that he WON'T be back: So how does he evaluate Bobby Valentine’s job as manager? Werner’s answer was perhaps telling about what ownership is thinking. “I don’t really want to get into that today,” he said. “I don’t want to talk too much about him. But he’s had a challenging year. I think, as we’ve said before, he’s doing a good job.” Will Valentine return in 2013? “I don’t really want to go there,” Werner said. “I think we all thought we’d bounce back more this year.” I hope he is gone and it'd be nice to see Lucchino go to IMO. I'm as disappointed as anyone but still watching the games (not the west coast games until the end). I will always be a Red Sox fan. Like MVP posted 2003-2007 was the weird time to be a Red Sox fan.
  19. 20. I'll admit. I've been SO fk'n busy at work, I haven't had time to post. Must be a work thing becuase I don't have the same problem on my laptop. Dammit!
  21. I interpreted it as hoping his bat improves to establish trade value. I would rather his bat improve to help the Red Sox and possibly be our future SS. Good point about Ciriaco. He just worries me because he came out of nowhere. He is a hell of a Yankee killer as well. Always a good thing, no matter how awful our season is. Gotta love when the NYY lose. Just doesn't happen enough. I hate these west coast games. My old ass just can't hang.
