    wheres that guy with the ny daily cover of steinbrenner and the sam giancanna sunglasses with the quote WE'LL WIN IT? poor george....god i feel bad tuff break for the yanks and once again for the 99th outta 100th year it shows pitching will beat hitting despite a great 9 that included a 342 hitter batting 9th and last years mvp hitting 8th detroit humiliated ny after losing 3 straight to kc and 5outta6 to blow the division. congrads to detroit they deserved it

    jeff suppan was a favorite over roger clemens in game 7 of the 04 pennant clem won the cy young that year that speaks volumes about the confidence the public has in roger clemens with the season on the line doesnt it?? we have the twins and pads losing the 1st 2 at home too big a mountain to climb as neither the a's or the cards can choke like the 04 yanks i fear this oakland team finally has my attention much more balanced than advertised....

    i cant argue with that assessment and i had no issue with the f/o bringing him up full time either in fact he shouldve been here all of last season instead of millar i do suspect he was beaten up 2nd half he wasnt figured to play in as many games as he did as jt snow was here as well but youk just blew his ass outta the water early ,hence his full time gig he is what he is a nice ballplayer with a good eye and a heart for baseball but skill wise hes not gonna git ya 30hrs and 100rbi

    1st legit shot at age 27..whats that tell you hes a 1st basemen with little power who tailed off at the end of the season we need more pop from the corners sandiego isnt paying for lowell unless we eat salary i was surprised by the youks success but hes a carlo quintana type hitter with a better glove after a great start he stalled both in power avg and obp did they figure him out in the 2nd half or was he as exhausted as he looked

    he was an allstar at 2nd base he was very good with the glove at 2nd and hit .285 i did notice his power #s went from decent to absent in the last 3 years pedroia hit .191 in 89 ab's im not in love with either of them but i dont understand why the need to jettison off a decent 2nd basemen to instill a 191 hitter with potential who if he lives up to his expectations maybe a mark loretta type someday... we got mark loretta already

    unreal im so very disappointed in the nl wests efforts here christ almighty that was a 40 year old tommy glavine who handcuffed la last nite truly pathetic then jeff weaver?? waived for futility in anaheim,shutting out the padres wow im thinking pawtucket or scranton willkes-barre would win the nl west by 5games

    wake in the bullpen?? a common scenario from wakes days in the bull from years gone by top of the 8th,1 run game (he used to close for us) wake comes in walks the 1st guy on 4 pitches,he no longer has a personal catcher so then he throws 2 past balls and the sacrifice fly ties the game...the remote goes thru the tv,the girl leaves you because of your temper and you immediately start drinking like the plane is going down every time his name gets metioned for bullpen duty

    damon has been their mvp for real the lead off catylist and the guy who covers ground in centerfield hes been playing with bone spurs in his foot and it hasnt slowed him down i thought he maybe done with all these nagging injuries and in my opinion the use of growth hormones cause his head is waaaaaaaaay bigger than it was when he was a rookie he fooled me and the front office who says the sox didnt make the playoffs every fuking team left is using red sox players in the hunt for october glory

    i think nixon can still hit .300 but we need more pop from the corner considering our entire infield wont hit 50hrs and the centerfielder has no power either
