  2. Thread title made it sound like a bigger deal, but all Papelbon said was Schilling's comments on Bonds werent too professional, which they were and most everyone knows that. But like I said in the other thread, the truth hurts, and schilling isnt afraid to speak it.
  3. And wake leaves the game with the lowest ERA in the AL, 1.79
  4. 16 ER over Halladays last two starts
  5. Coco with the double, we are torching Halladay
  6. are you kidding me! Mike lowell with a 3-run HR!
  7. and JD Drew with the single
  8. Manny with the RBI single, 4-0 Sox!
  9. struck him out and snap throw to first to get glaus out
  10. team ERA goes up to 4.804 after this game
  11. This is such a pointless argument because in reality Drew is significantly better player than Trot Nixon. Sure Trot has started the year off hitting better then Drew (and hes started off the year hitting better than Manny also but that doesnt mean hes better than him). Drew whens hes playing up to par is a legit .900 OPS OF with some of the best RF defense in the league. Trot is barely (probaly isnt) an .800 OPS OF in fulltime at this point in his career and cant play defense at all anymore. I liked Trot Nixon a lot as a Red Sox but it was definetly time to move on and Id love to see your argument Crunchy telling us otherwise.
  12. very nice bounce-back outing for Matsuzaka tonight
  13. Thats probaly about right, i suspect it'll be in the 2.50-3.00 range for this season
  14. Dice-K BB/9 by year: 1999: 4.35 2000: 5.09 2001: 4.38 2002: 1.85 (73 IP) 2003: 2.92 2004: 2.58 2005: 2.05 2006: 1.64
  15. Whats interesting about this streak is that back on May 1 he was batting .172
  16. lugo with the HR, 4-0 sox EDIT: 5-0 Sox
  17. no kidding, their offense (or pitching) hasnt done crap
