  1. Beckett just didnt have it last night. Hes pitched pretty well this season, better than his 5.12 ERA indicates. He just has these games where he is just TERRIBLE, 1 being last night(7 ER), 8 ER vs. CLE, 7 ER vs. TOR, 7 ER vs. NYY. Take out those 4 starts and he has a 3.22 ERA, so he gives us a ledgitimate chance to win 75-80% of the time. Hes going to have these moments, but hes only going to get better and see no problems going forward.
  2. Angels might be able to get Miguel Cabrera with that package
  3. if Rivera were to blow it, would Papelbon be able to pitch in extras or not at all?
  4. did Guillen say before Papelbon was unavailable or is he available?
  5. hes getting 13mil this year, and i believe 15mil next year and a club option for 08' at 16mil. Its a good amount of money, Id prefer to give the spot to Pena, save 15mil (if we were to do the Abreu deal) and spend the money on good SP. But if its just Nixon for Abreu or just Nixon and Alvarez for Abreu I think that would be ok.
  6. tiz with 10, good place to be
  7. If the Giants fall out of the race, would they make Schmidt available? He leads the NL in ERA and would drastically improve the rotation. I believe hes a FA at the end of the year too? Does he still have his explosive fastball or has he changed as a pitcher?
  8. Age: 18 Born: May 8, 1988 Piedmont, SC Height: 6-3 Weight: 205 Bats: Right Throws: Right Drafted: 1st round, 2005 How Acquired: Draft High School: Wren HS (SC) ETA: 2010 http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/2006/06/03/qGf8BsWH.jpg Scouting Report: Young 5-tool OF out of Wren High School. Drafted #27 in the first round by the Red Sox. Has 70 power potential on the 80 scale. Very athletic, and plays good defense. Needs to cut down on strikeouts and has battled hamstring injuries. Is fairly raw so he will need a good amount of time in the minors, but has very high potential
  9. Sox win 11-5. Thank god we didnt get swept. Papelbon is so fuking intense. Ortiz is god. And we move on to play the White Sox

  11. AHAHAHAHA, trying to get david ortiz out with the bases jacked lol
  12. Jason Johnson is TERRIBLE. At first i thought it was an ok risk, but the man makes Tavarez look good at times!
  13. can I take Jason Place?
