  1. Seanez can't be trusted to pitch in yesterday's game.
  2. Alright, so it's no secret that I have an unhealthy mancrush on Little Pappy. Don't judge, you all do, too. Is it wrong that a small part of me wants to see this Seanez blow this to a degree that it would be a save situation, just so we can get Papelbon into the game? It would do two things, number one we'd get to see Paps tonight. And number two, it'd be yet another "HELLOOOO!!" to the front office to get Seanez (and Tavarez, bring him in to give up 2 or 3 runs) the hell out of town.
  3. Who the hell are Alex Squared lately?!?
  4. Yea I didn't know it was that high. Gotta get him out of there. If he does go back out, it should be only until he allows a baserunner. Oh, and, if the bullpen comes in and f***s this game up for him, I'm proposing we get a caravan and head to the respective reliever's home and sodomize his wife before ending his life. Who's with me?
  5. Think Tito pulls the plug after 6 or do we let him go 7? Anyone got a pitch count?
  6. ...Alay Soler. When's the last time a cuban dude was named Aaron?
  7. I wouldn't trade Hansen for Smoltz if it was Smoltz 3 years ago, let alone now.
  8. I'd have to think the Hall would be wayyyy more exclusive than 1 in a 100.
  9. Does anyone think that Lowell was a wicked solid baseball player, and was on the roids when he was banging all those home runs? Now he's off, and he's back to being an extremely well rounded singles and doubles guy (or, well, just doubles guy)...maybe this is the true Mike Lowell? Not accusing, just a thought...
  10. Ha, to think Lowell was a contingency pickup in order to get Beckett.
  11. I hate the Yankees. I really really do. But, I've gotta say, they've become a lot harder of a team to hate over the past couple of years. For a while, the Yankees were the main team that was going out and signing huge free agents and building their teams through trades that lacked loyalty to anyone and everyone. This, however, is the nature of baseball now. The Yankees used to not have any homegrown talent, and the arguement was used that they "bought" their team and their championships. This can't be used anymore, because the Yanks actually have more than a lot of teams, and as it turns out, were just ahead of their time when it came to the deals and the big time free agents. The Yankes were a lot easier to hate when they featured guys like Steve "Sniffffffffff" Howe and Darryl "Snifffffffffff" Strawberry and Wade "I'd Sell My Mother If The Price Were Right" Boggs... When it comes to guys like Jeter, Posada, Bernie, Mo, etc...I dislike them because of the uniform that they wear. They're guilty by assosciation so to speak. Hell, I even like ARod. I think there's something to be said for a guy who was willing to take a huge paycut to come and play for a potential contender. We forget that it was the Player's Union that vetoed the deal to bring him to Boston, not ARod himself. Yea, I didn't like the Tek fight. But emotions run high in baseball and you can't judge a guy by one incident. Disliking guys like Carl Everett, Milton Bradley, Jose Guillen, Barry Bonds...these guys are f***-off's as a whole, not just an isolated incident. These are the guys to dislike.
  12. So, I've posted some things of this nature on here before to no avail, but who knows, maybe this'll be my lucky day. I'm trying to come upon some tickets to one of the games during the first week of August against the Guardians. There are games on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. A girl who I'm a HUGE fan of is going to be in Boston on business that week and invited me come out and spend some time with her there. She's a big Sox fan and I'd love to impress her with some tickets. I always end up getting my ass kicked when I bid on tickets on ebay or stubhub, so I was thinking maybe someone on here either had some they wanted to get rid of or knew someone who might have some. I know I'm going to have to pay for them, but has anyone checked out what Sox tickets are going for on Ebay and StubHub? It's ridiculous...not to mention the fact that I'm going to have to pay $30 a day to park my car in the city. Think about how awesome this would be if it worked out...I've gone to freaking operas to impress and please girls before, and now I can impress and please this one with a Sox game? She's a keeper, I'm telling you. Anyways, any advice or info that anyone would have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
  13. Although I don't disagree with you...it doesn't change the fact that I would rather Seanez up in the booth and Jon Miller coming out of the 'pen.
  14. He should have flipped that ball...but he is definitely above average defensively. Was I the only one ready to take my own life if there was even a milisecond of thought towards putting Tavarez in by Tito?
  15. Can you name me another occupation where you can be as bad as Tavarez is and stay employed?
  16. Am I the only person that'd feel more comfortable with The Rivernator coming into pitch in a close game than I do with Tavarez on the mound?
  17. Here comes Tavarez...Game over, Twins win.
  18. Still one of the most dominant pitching performances I've ever seen...he's made one mistake. What are you, new?
  19. This is one of the most dominant pitching performances I've ever seen.
  20. I don't know...I like "Never Surrender" and "Sunglasses At Night" as much as the next guy...but I don't know if even those jams could take the place of Lee
  21. Paps getting a blown save for tha tis the biggest crock of s*** I've ever seen.
  22. yo tha tigrl in the avatar, AId' eat her ass os fast!
