Freaking get realllllllll people...if we were talking about Ramirez 4 years ago, then I'd say this has a chance of getting off the ground. But Ramirez now? No way. Manny's best years are behind him. Not that he doesn't have some good ones left, but I'm saying his absolute BEST are behind him. And...there's no telling how well Manny would play without a guy like Ortiz hitting in front of him. Not that Berkman is bad or anything, but I don't think anything would be the Manny/Ortiz combination. And also, besides Clemens, Houston hasn't been known to throw big money at free agents. Who's to say they'd even be able to resign Manny for another couple of years after his current monstrosity of a contract runs out? Fact of the matter is...the Astros would be retarded to move Oswalt. Guys that can hit home runs and drive in runs are a dime a dozen. (I'm not saying guys like Manny, I'm just saying it's easier to get a guy who'll give you 25 HR and 75 RBI then it is to get a potential 20+ game winner.) Oh...one more thing... I'll run The Freedom Trail naked if we sign Clemens. That's another thing that, simply, is not going to happen. Theo won't overpay for people (besides Clement haha) and Clemens getting $15 million for a half year is overpaying, regardless of the kind of numbers he puts up. Has anyone watched Willis this year? Im watching the Marlins and the Mets right now, and his delivery looks way different than I ever remember it. I dont know whats going on.
