  1. You didn't plan to skip? Common man, I've had this day planned for MONTHS! No school for this guy :harhar:
  2. I'd agree...but putting any kind of Royal on your fantasy team is a risk.
  3. Great post...I was actually looking for this earlier today.
  4. That's a little much. I'd love it, but that's a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle much. Johan is the best pitcher in the game by a long shot...
  5. Noah will be a SLIGHTLY above-average NBA player AT BEST. Mark my words.
  6. You can say that about a lot of the Marlins...anyone expecting the same kind of performance out of Uggla, HanRam, Anibal Sanchez, and the like are, I have a feeling, in for a big disappointment. Sure, some of them will still be solid, but to have years like last year? I doubt it.
  7. I have a PLETHORA of solid pitchers and am looking to upgrade at 1B, 3B, or OF...make me offers, no one is off the table if the right deal is proposed...
  8. Sweet Jesus...the Jays would be better off putting a Jugs machine on the mound every fifth day.
  9. Rome is hysterical...especially when you compare him to the other dirtballs that have radio shows...JT the Brick? Awful. Andrew Siciliano? Awful. Craig Shemon and James Washington? Awful. Besides Colin Cowherd, Eric Casillias, Dan Patrick, and Mike and Mike SOMETIMES, I'm hard-pressed to find an even listenable radio talk show, IMO. Rome is ENTIRELY different from anyone else in the field...he wouldn't be where he is if he wasn't. His wit is unmatched by any as far as I'm concerned. In all fairness to the rest of you...the radio program is far better than the TV show.
  10. Did you get the other one that was en route? SOTK, I think? The only thing I can think of is that there's a delay somewhere...maybe they're both held up?
  11. In answer to your inevitable question...they are built for comfort
  12. I just got extremely horny reading that... ...then again, I get horny when I think about smushing my face into Jessica Simpson's rack...that doesn't mean there's a realistic chance of it happening. Let's hope! (For both situations  )
  13. Yea I know what you mean...oh well, should be there tomorrow, if not, I'll get alarmed.
  14. Rick, how close are you located to Shrewsbury? I sent a package out to a friend of mine in Shrewsbury on Monday and she got it it today...I can't figure out why you wouldn't have gotten my dues in the mail today as well...
  15. I don't get it?
  16. No way...Ichiro is a huge benefit in a lineup that features guys like Manny. As good as he is, he can't be had in lieu of Manny. A supplement to Manny, that'd be great...instead of Manny, no way.
  17. I'm going to weigh in... I'm thrilled with Papelbon in the bullpen as long as it's the right move health-wise. I feel that Paps will be a far more effective closer than he would have been a starter. Is there the chance that he could develop more and become a great starter? Sure, anything's possible. At the same rate, Paps has two nasty pitches...his FB and his Split. His curve, from what I've seen this spring, is decent AT BEST. You can get by on two pitches as a closer...not only can you get by, but you can prosper and enjoy great success. Living on two pitches as a starter is not so easy. Short of a knuckleballer, it rarely occurs and even those are few and far between. It takes a special makeup for a guy to be able to close out ballgames...I'd say there are far more closers that could be made starters than starters that could be made closers. We've got a guy who's shown he has the stones to do it...I'm happy they're not messing with it any longer. Rob Zombie...I was backing you and agreeing with you until you came out with that military blast. Common man, what were you thinking? ORS gets defensive when you have opinions that differ from his...I won't dispute that with you at all...but him telling you you don't know anything about baseball and you questioning his service to the Country aren't even in the same realm. Get some class, bro.
  18. No way...it's obvious that Minnesota values it's young talent, having signed Mauer to an extension and continuing discussion to get Morneau signed as well. They didn't break the bank for Mauer, they won't for Morneau...it seems to me that their big-ticket, astronomically-priced guy is going to be Santana. Assuming Liriano comes back to form, the Twins would have the best 1-2 in baseball by a loooooooong shot. No one else would come close. What would be their motivation to deal the best pitcher in baseball when he's just coming into his prime? Purely economical? I can't see that happening.
  19. Hansen is deadweight, IMO...I mean, not in the same class of deadweight as Seanez or the like last year, but deadweight nonetheless. Good thing we grabbed Cox. Does that sound gay?
  20. I'm not the least bit worried about this...I feel like this late in ST, guys are working on getting their stamina up and making sure they get the same type of work in that they'd have in a regular game. I know it's just a theory, but maybe his control was more precise than we're giving him credit for, as he wasn't trying to throw strikes particularly. Moreso, he was trying to work different areas and get the feel of throwing 100 or so pitches again. This isn't just me trying to give Daisuke a virtual handy, I think it's a theory that a lot of pitchers can/do follow.
  21. Very true...if you can't drive with your legs, you start overthrowing and straying from safe mechanics and BEG for a serious arm injury.
  22. Pettitte was at 4.2 with a free out once every 9 batters in the NL Central...incase we haven't said it enough, the ALE is a whole new ballgame.
