You hang your hat on those ten days 2 years ago. I'll hang my hat on the other thousands and thousands of days before and after that. And the other thing that the yanks have accomplished that can't be beat. Only duplicated. 26 times.

I think you misread that part. Overall a very well written article and a rare look into the goings-on of the Yankee locker room. A-Rod seems like he is aloof and out of touch with his team/team mates and even his own emotions. He detaches himself from the situation, and even goes into denial instead of addressing his bad play. I truly believe the fans wouldn't get on him so much if he showed some anger out there instead of acting like he didn't care when he struck out. Go break s*** in the dugout a la Paul O'Neill and show us you have a pair. He needs to hire a shrink and get over this.

If Sheffield moves to first then Melky could be kept as the 4th outfielder. Bernie could stay on as a DH/PH and never see the outfield again, which would be fine by me.

I'm not scared, but I wasn't in 2004 either until they won game 6. there are still ~45 games left. While they may not catch the Yankees, they have a good shot at the WC. In the next few days the white sox and twins play a series, so every game Boston wins they will gain on one of them....:dunno: sorry that's the best I got.

That is the difference between the Yankees and the Red Sox. The Yankees didn't give up this time last year, all they did was storm back and win the division. They didn't give up in '78 either.
