    I don't want it on the uniforms but I could care less what is around the park. As long as the sox make money and use to on the major league payroll, minor league system, scouting and drafting, and international free agent signings they can put as much ads around the park as they want.

    Some Notes from Boston.com Crisp, in an extended spring training game today in Fort Myers, went 2 for 6 with a home run and played center field. Red Sox outfielder Gabe Kapler is expected to go on a rehab assignment in Fort Myers early next week. Pitching coach Dave Wallace visited with Francona at Fenway this afternoon and will have his hip-replacement surgery next Thursday at Mass. General. First base coach Bill Haselman is scheduled to return tonight after missing the last three games for family reasons.

    Clemens is the only pitcher that will cost them money.....They can't use cash to get either Schmidt or Willis as why would teams want to do that. In order to get a quality pitcher through a trade it will cost NY to part with some very good prospects.

    NY doesn't have the AMMO to get a big name starter. Unless they plan on trading Philip Hughes which they will likely not they are going to have to get the Shawn Chacon types again.

    Theo will only trade top prospects for players under the age of 30. Hence Coco(26) and Josh Beckett (26). Freddy Sanchez is playing way above his head right now. In no way would Theo part with any prospects as highly regarded in order to get an older pitcher like Schmidt. If you trade prospects you better be getting guys under 30 like Theo did. Schmidt is 33 and has lost zip on his fastball in the past few years. No way would I part with any top prospects for any pitcher in his 30's that is a free agent to be by the way. It would be just foolish for what a 3 month rental.
