    So, you no longer think they need another hitter. Ellsnury has been replaced by an automatic out with Bradley. I am not seeing much potential with him. It' s hard to produce consistent offense when a lineup has at least 3 holes. Catcher, SS and CF are killing us. Even if the other 6 spots start performing to career norms, these 3 will keep the offense in neutral.

    It looks like Buchholz's big turnaround game was more a function of the opponent being the Astros.

    This lineup isn't going to sneak up on anybody. There isn't a lot of potential there. There is a lot of hope. Without a miracle, this group goes nowhere. They need Victorino in the lineup and another hitter.

    I'd like to see Betts stick after Victorino returns. He adds a spark and he has the element of speed too. It may be time for Gomes to go.

    We are still putting out a horseshit lineup. If Benny who pisses excellence isn't giving up on the season, he needs to get another bat very fast or the season will be unredeemable. IMO, he gave up on the season other than a miracle happening. If he hasn't written off the season, he'd be doing something to improve the team. He has been a pretty straight shooter, so hopefully he is working on something.

    And maybe with Pedro they win back to back titles in 2005. Our game 1 starter in the playoffs in 2005 was embarrassingly , Matt Clement. He wet his pants on the mound.

    Getting on base half the time is good enough for me even if they are HBPs.

    Victorino was 2 for 4 for the PawSox tonight. Hopefully, he is back with the big club over the weekend.

    Great post. Brandon Wood was a huge power hitter in the minors, but couldn't make enough contact in the majors.

    I have to agree with him. Taking accountability is admirable. He knows that his piss has not been excellent.

    He hit .312 and drove in 19 runs in 23 games after his promotion to Advanced A earning him a promotion to AA. He is progressing quickly. Good luck to him.

    If he isn't back in the bigs next year, they'll be divorced by the end of 2015.

    As I said earlier, I think Bogaerts for Stanton is an arguably good deal even if Bogaerts becomes a star. The trade would also eliminate the risk of Bogaerts being a bust.

    We are the Boston Red Sox not the KC Royals. We have the resources to sign him now and make him the centerpiece for the future.
