  1. he is a very exciting fielder, but he can't hit a lick, plus he has a bad injury history.
  2. Pokey would have had it.
  3. He's been upset since he signed with the Red Sox. I can live with the numbers he puts up when he is upset. It is scarey to think what he would do if he was a happy camper. Yankee fans are saying novenas that the Sox FO trades Manny. They don't care what the Sox get in return. They need to break up the Dynamic Duo.
  4. I don't know if the Yankees had any dominant pitchers during their Championship run, but they had big game pitchers (Wells, Pettitte, Clemens, Cone) who were capable of dominating an opponent in the post-season even if the regular season stats were not that great.
  5. Is Milledge ML ready?
  6. They said similar things about Doc Gooden after his rookie year.
  7. George Frasier lost 3 games in the 1981 World Series.
  8. No offense taken. Has any one got an answer for the record for losses in a single WS?
  9. Whitey might have the most WS losses in a career, but I was asking about losses in a single WS.
  10. Do all of you Yankee fans get PMS at the same time? Yeah, that was my initial post, challenging the knowledge of Yankee fans regarding the history of their own team. Last night, I got some impressive answers. It showed me that alot of you guys study the history of the game. I can respect that. I have studied the history of the game since I was a boy. There have been no insults from me if I stumped you guys. I reached deep for the Sparky Lyle question, because He Hate Me was criticizing the questions as readily available on Google. He has acted like a jerk, and he apparently has an anger problem or he doesn't know much Yankee history. Most of you guys seem to be on top of your game. I was impressed that someone's dad knew who SuperChief was. BTW He Hate Me, SuperChief was prior to my time. If you like the questions, I'll keep asking them. I enjoy jogging my memory for this stuff. I pass no judgments on any of you if you don't know the answers. Have the questions generally been too obscure, other than the Lyle question? I figure that you don't want softballs, either.
  11. What Yankee pitcher holds the record for losses in a World Series?
  12. You got me on that one. Since he says it is simple, I'd guess that he hit it against the Red Sox.
  13. Well, I guess it is official that you don't have an anger problem. Go finish your homework you snotty little schoolboy.
  14. 4 to 1, I mean 26 to 6 lol!!!, you are no front runner. You are a student of the game. You got some tough answers last night.
  15. I guess you couldn't find this on Google, He Hate Me. Sparky entered the game to Pomp and Circumstance.
  16. Name the song that was played when Sparky Lyle entered the game.
  17. Next question in 5 minutes.
  18. Your answer was late because you cheated by doing electronic research. Use your own mind. Stop being a computer geek.
  19. Ron Bloomberg was the first ever DH. Orlando Cepeda was the DH for the opposing Red Sox.
  20. Dude, I do this from memory. I watched the game.
  21. Name the Yankee who has the distinction of being the first ever DH. Who was the DH on the opposing team?
  22. Trivia question in 5 minutes.
  23. If we release Graffy, don't the Sox have to pay him for the entire year since they offered arbitration.
  24. Lucky thing we don't have Pedro, eh.
