  1. Maybe his elbow will finally go like the Yankee doctors said it would.
  2. Can O'Neil, Brosius, and Cone be far behind.
  3. Alot of Yankee fans that I know, and I know a bunch, gave him kudos for not re-signing him based on his physical condition. It seems that those fans will have to eatr some crow now.
  4. In a couple of years his contract will almost be over and we will still have to suffer through 3 more years of Drew.
  5. I hope they are done shopping him. I hated just about every package that I heard. Keeping him will keep the two-headed monster in place, and Yankee fans will be disappointed once again. The Dodgers were *******s if they didn't offer Broxton. A 290 lb pitcher is not going to last very long, even as a short man. That is just way too big a frame. His knees will be shot in 4 or 5 years.
  6. I disagree. This was a miscalcualtion of the market. It was also a mistake for them to be blind-sided by the Yankees. There is absolutely no factual or other basis to beleive that the oft-injured Drew is a better bet than Damon. It was a mistake if for no other reason than they had to pay dearly to restock the OF with a productive offensive player. We already had one. If Damon falls off a cliff and Drew finally reaches his potential it will be nothing more than luck. I don't think either of those things will happen.
  7. Not facing the Red Sox should help his ERA by about a half a run.
  8. After the Drew signing I don't think anyone can continue to deny that letting Damon walk to the Yankees for 4/$52 was a mistake
  9. Drew is a great RF, but not a great CF. WMP is an okay CF, but not a good RF, especially in Fenway. Playing Drew in CF and WMP in Rf would weaken two positions. As for the delay with the Drew deal, maybe the Sox FO is using it as some leverage in the Matsuzaka negotiations. Otherwise, I see no reason for the delay in finalizing the deal.
  10. You are probably right.
  11. Sure. Ir makes perfect sense.
