    Arroyo is a curveball pitcher. Have you seen him pitch. He throws it at several different speeds with varying breaks. So, yeah, I am serious.

    Michael kay reported on his radio show that Igawa is being skipped and that he will be in the bullpen. He reported that Torre is not likely to use Igawa out of the pen unless the starter gets knocked out early. Kay said that unless Igawa can learn to pitch down in the zone that he will get pasted in the AL.

    Muffing a routine play resulting in runs is just stinky play. An umpire missing an obvious call, the ball hitting a rock, etc. that is a break. If it's within your control but you blow the play that is just bad play.

    Lowell has no problem with the FB. It's the breaking pitch that gives him trouble. WMP again looks helpless.

    i hear that while he doesn't have much velocity he has some late movement if the fans are stomping there feet.

    It's hard to argue with 57, 52 and 47 HRs and 2 MVPs. Also, don't forget that each time ARod has left a team that they improved in the standings.
