    i agree. Signing one of the greatest closers of all time when your bullpen stinks shouldn’t be criticized. The money is far from insane for a guy of this quality. When he is right, hitters just don’t have a chance.

    Betts needs to start hitting ASAP to pick up the slack for missing JD and Moreland. Betts is doing dogshit.

    It was definitely an assassination attempt. We don’t know the motive, but I think we can rule out a paid assassin as he had no chance of escaping apprehension. It could have been revenge. It doesn’t really matter. I hope the big guy pulls through. Pedro’s compound has a security booth with an armed guard, and I think stuff has happened there too.

    Get some stats for knife and machete deaths. Those are the weapons of choice. I dont know how this terrible incident turns into a US sucks rant. Less than a week after the 75th anniversary of D-Day, I am very sensitive to the hate US BS. If it sucks here so much, the borders are open in both directions. As for the Dominicans that I know, they are quite open about how unsafe it is. I’ll take their word for it.

    Agreed. They stayed with him through the hard times. You don’t bench him when he has emerged from his prolonged slump. I was talking about future seasons. We have no better option right now, other than Holt in RF possibly. Eventually, this team will decide to go in another direction to start a season.

    The guy has been a premium talent since College. His entire life he has been the best or close to the best player in whatever league he has played in. It is great having a guy like him. Only a dope would want him to leave their team.
