  1. The Angels tied it in the 6th and the Yankees took the lead back in the bottom of the 6th 12-9. Soon it will be Proctor time.
  2. What have I criticized the FO about in the last two months? There's nothing to criticize. They haven't made any moves. So, I don't know what you are talking about. I'm not criticizing them now either. I am just saying that I hope they realize that they need pitching help. That's criticism? I can't take you seriously if you think we should go another 4 weeks with Tavarez and Gabbard in the rotation with a bullpen that only has two reliable arms and it is down one of its secondary arms--Donnelly.
  3. The Yankees have scored 9 runs, (really 10 but Cano never touched 3rd), but Pettitte got whacked all around the park giving up 7 runs in less than 6 innings. He's been awful lately.
  4. A body? Last year we threw bodies out there like jason Johnson et. al. in the 4th and 5th slots, and we started doing that right around this time of the year. The FO deluded itself that it could get by until guys came back healthy. In August the wheels came off. We don't need bodies. We need professional pitchers.
  5. I hope the FO is realizing that we need starting pitching help. Tavarez got torched tonight, and Gabbard matches up against Bonderman tomorrow in a total mismatch.
  6. Tavarez got two long outs. He'll be lucky to get out of this inning with only 2 runs.
  7. OCab just got a two out two run double to give the Angels the lead 3-2.
  8. Iheard that Ortiz is sitting tonight.
  9. This guy has good power, and they have always liked his bat. They are throwing him right into the pool to sink or swim this weekend. In ST I saw him hit some long HRs.
  10. I agree that he just might want out of NY.
  11. It would be interesting to see if Ellsbury can pass Papi on a gapper
  12. If he opts out, I don't think it will be because he really wants out of NY. Economically, the Yankees can and probably will offer him the most money.
  13. Navaro got messed up in that collision. He got knocked silly and Beckett didn't even budge an inch. Beckett is a scary dude.
  14. Sweet catch by Coco. He made that one look easy.
  15. How can you say that. The Yankees have more money than anyone plus they'll be playing with $30 million from the Rangers. if ARod stays with the Yanks, he'll get $25 million for the next 3 years and the Yankees can extend him for 4 years for $100 Million. ARod would be getting $175 million over the next 7 years and the Yankees would be paying only $145 million or less than $21 million/year.
  16. Arroyo goes deep for ahome run Cincinnati. Maybe we should have kept him as our 4th OF.
  17. I think the Yankees have a huge economic advantage with the $30 million subsidy from Texas. The Yankees would be fools not to offer him a huge extension not to lose that subsidy. If he opts out, the Yankees will lose the subsidy and will not re-sign him.
  18. I don't think he is anywhere as dominant this year as in past years.
  19. Inning Ovah! Ballgame Ovah! Thuuuuh Yankees Loooose!!! Thuuuuh Yankees Loooose!!! Cue the Sterling Shake. Better late than not at all
  20. A 2-run 2 out Homer by the Twins Rodriguez makes it 6-2 Twins going into the bottom of the 9th.
  21. It's the home cooking, and the have a lot of home games coming up in the next few weeks.
  22. MDC has got to get the BB situation under control. You can't be doing that coming out of the pen.
