    I am at this horror show, and I am lost on the ejections. Benintendi said something about the HP ump after getting thrown out at 1B and the 1B ump tossed him. Did he get tossed before Cora? What was up with Holt laying on the wall while the ball rolled away? finally, after the safe/out call at 2nd, why was the Texas manager arguing and getting thrown out?

    It will be interesting to see if there are other arrests in the assassination attempt. If Ortiz doesn’t go back to the DR after he recovers, that would indicate that there is more is going on than a lone individual assassin.

    The back story is probably every bit as bizarre as the known facts — that a national hero was the target of an attempted assassination in a crowded public place. No muckraking could surpass what we already know. LOL!

    I asked UN about the violence once and he told me that a lot of it was about women. Apparently, it is very dangerous to look at the woman of the wrong people.

    They say that he is stable, but with that organ damage, I don't think that he is out of the woods.

    And no matter how dominant he is through 4 or 5 innings, he always blows up in the 5th or 6th even if he has a low pitch count after 4 or 5. In that regard, he is as reliable as a Swiss watch.

    The big mistake was going along with Cora’s idiotic approach to not ramping up his starters in spring training.

    i agree. Signing one of the greatest closers of all time when your bullpen stinks shouldn’t be criticized. The money is far from insane for a guy of this quality. When he is right, hitters just don’t have a chance.

    At times you come across to me as someone that has a knee jerk reaction to bash the US. Maybe I am wrong. Communication on the internet is not ideal. I think you are a good guy, and enjoy your posts about baseball and lots of other things.

    Betts needs to start hitting ASAP to pick up the slack for missing JD and Moreland. Betts is doing dogshit.

    It was definitely an assassination attempt. We don’t know the motive, but I think we can rule out a paid assassin as he had no chance of escaping apprehension. It could have been revenge. It doesn’t really matter. I hope the big guy pulls through. Pedro’s compound has a security booth with an armed guard, and I think stuff has happened there too.

    Get some stats for knife and machete deaths. Those are the weapons of choice. I dont know how this terrible incident turns into a US sucks rant. Less than a week after the 75th anniversary of D-Day, I am very sensitive to the hate US BS. If it sucks here so much, the borders are open in both directions. As for the Dominicans that I know, they are quite open about how unsafe it is. I’ll take their word for it.
