  1. Don't hold your breath. His lawyer gave no indication that Clemens would take any legal action. In fact, he lamented that he had no forum in which to be heard to clear his name. Well that is just not true. He could sue, but he will not. His buddy's admission lend credence to the allegations of his accuser. Truth is a defense against libel or slander. Clemens will not spend millions to be exposed even more.
  2. Good to see ya.
  3. ...and occasionally he'll start a fight with an umpire while sitting in the bullpen and get thrown out of the game. Does anyone remember that?
  4. It's come up, but not in any formal report. It really doesn't matter who got named in t he report, except to those individuals who were named. They got burned, but too damn bad. The use of the stuff was rampant during those years. It was ridiculous when you started seeing middle infielders like Boone and Tejada growing 20 inch necks and hitting one-handed Home Runs to the opposite field. The whole era was dirty.
  5. I will, but it's difficult. I am bored too. The only thing remotely interesting right now is whether the Dolphins win in OT... and they just did.
  6. I think it stopped when players were getting hauled in to testify before a grand jury. That happened afte 2003. In 2004, there were a bunch of guys who went cold turkey. Giambi claimed that he had given up Big Macs. Hey, maybe he was referring to his mentor Mark MGwire. He used to be called Big Mac.
  7. I'll bet you are glad that the Rocket took Joba under his wing.
  8. I still would not be surprised if the Twins signed him.
  9. Can someone photoshop a syringe on this thing?
  10. I would have given him credit if his statement started ewith the following: "There was too much money at stake not to try everything that might help me perform. I got caught and I am paying the price." That would be honest.
  11. Don't cry for these guys. Clemens made a fortune in his twighlight years with the help of this stuff. Pettitte has made himself a pretty penny in the last few years too. They got caught, and their future earnig ability has been irrevocably damaged. I don't feel sorry for them.
  12. 22 to 7, do you really want to be on this list?
  13. The Kool-Aid made famous by another man of God-- Rev. Jim Jones.
  14. Was the HGH obtained legally? Although not substance that was part of the ML testing program at the time, was it approved for usage or treament by MLB at the time?
  15. If Pettitte is such a reputable guy, why did he decide to come back to pitch in NY and leave his family behind in Texas? I thought he wanted to be close to his family. Did he come back to serve the humanitarian purpose of helping the Yankees and their fans to World Championship #27-- sorry I meant #23?
  16. ...and men of God have never been publicly exposed as being bad people?
  17. Agreed. I believe that I predicted such whiny spin in the "Spin" thread.
