  1. Get the old puff baller out of there!
  2. Typical Wakefield ugly inning. I really hate watching games that he pitches.
  3. Offenses are not yet in sync. The bats will heat up in a couple of weeks.
  4. 5-0 -- a three run double by a back up catcher. Kennedy sucks.
  5. I missed the Yankee game that Moose pitched. Someone told me that Paul O'Neil said something about Giambi winning some Gold Gloves before he retires. Did anyone else hear this?
  6. No, because Kennedy is projected as a #4 starter even by the Yankees. Santana is no # 4.
  7. It's time for Tek to do something with the bat.
  8. It's really big of him to feel some compassion for the kid five years later after he had to endure ridicule and death threats.
  9. Cano may have the potential to be the best hitter on the Yankees, but he hasn't backed that up on the field. As for Posada's consistency vs. Matsui, except for the year Matsui was injured you could pencil in his numbers ahead of time each year.
  10. The last opening day at the old Ball Yard in the Bronx. That should be special. I heard that the Yankees will be selling off pieces of the hallowed cathedral like spare parts from a wrecked car. That's too bad-- pieces of the stadium being placed in bar bathrooms etc. It seems undignified. I wonder if they will auction off any of the used syringes from the dynasty team of the 90's. The Stadium has been known as the House that Ruth Built, and the trading of George Herman has been blamed for the Red Sox 86 year draught. Now, the Yankees will be selling off the House that Ruth Built on the internet. Maybe a new curse will start.
  11. Open your eyes. At best their bullpen is largely unaccomplished and unproven. At worst, it just sucks.
  12. He hit over .253 in one of the last 4 seasons, so you don't have to worry about him threatening .400. Jeter hit .269, Damon .255 and Posada hit .237 this spring. I guess they should be hitting 7th, 8th and 9th. Matsui is a way better hitter than 3 or 4 guys in that lineup. No way he should be hitting 8th. You don't bat Matsui 8th because some bloated former roid user has had a few hot weeks in ST. Girardi is stupid. That will become clear soon enough.
  13. It's a stupid lineup by Girardi. Matsui is a better hitter than Giambi, cano or Posada. Batting Giambi 5th is absurd.
  14. Matsui batting 8th?
  15. If you know anything about this guy, please share. It seems that he must be pretty good. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2008/03/sox_sign_japane.html
  16. Of those three, I keep Corey.
  17. Jackson, I will not argue with you about Lester who I consider as nothing more than a #5 starter at this point. He needs to improve his command a great deal if he is going to be a top of the rotation guy. I don't think that will be for a couple of years if ever.
  18. Aardsma, who stinks, is having no problem with this inferior lineup. Lester was atrocious today.
  19. Who is likely to come out of the A's pen? They used Street, Foulke, Embree and Dinardo yesterday.
  20. Harden at 95 pitches. Does he start the 7th? I hope not.
