    They are pitching way too much. The starters are waering these guys out. The starters have to hold up their end. In a 5 game cycle, how often do we get 7 or even 6 innings from the starter? You can't go to the pen for 3 or 4 innings every game.

    Any day now they should be announcing the acquisition of Jason "the ultimate loser" Johnson and call it a low risk move. Once we start seeing phrases like that in print and rookie pitchers starting against the Yankees you know we are maybe one more injury away from a 2006 collapse. The Sox were the best taem in baseball in 2006 before the meltdown started.

    Now that we are back to playing the AL, it seems that Francona is intent on finishing the game with the same lineup that he started with. Why isn't he PHing for Cora in a 1 run game in the 7th with 2 out and 1 on?

    The Yankees, afterall are such a classy organization-- a model for other franchises. They looked the other way as their teams in the 90's turned the clubhouse into a roid den. And they openly honored and celebrated a fan who illegally interfered with the field of play to give the Yankees an advantage. That sent a wonderful message to the fans. It's okay to interfere with the game if it helps the home team. Yes, the honoring of Jeffrey Maeir was very classy.
