    They don't need a repeat of the hissy fit/power struggle to wreck the off season. Before you go nuts over the use of "hissy fit", I like Theo. On balance he has done a fine job. He has the best job in baseball, which is also his dream job. He'd be a fool to leave it. The Red Sox will certainly compensate him fairly.

    If your #5 starter can give you 200 innings and 12 wins every year that is something. You say he would do worse in Boston. The defense he has behind him is atrocious. In the series we played them, one of their fielders forgot the 3 outs at least three times. The ballpark is a joke. Crisp would hit 25 homers there. He's got a good chance of cracking 15 wins this season. His one down year followed a season when he threw 240 innings.

    Lester ain't no AAA pitcher. it reminds me of a story about a great pitcher going over hitters with the pitcher. Regarding one batter, the catcher says, "he's a good fastball hitter." Pitcher replies, "that's fine, but how does he hit a great fastball?"

    He went on the DL with rotator cuff tendinitis. Isn't that breaking down? I would assume that the condition was caused by pitching and not anything viral or communicable. He pitched only 89 innings.

    He broke down after throwing only 89 innings this season. He has a long way to go to be considered a top of the rotation horse.
