    Pedroia will be going for his 5th hit today.

    He'll lead the team in HRs with 35+. No one else on the team will get 35+ HRs. His bat speed is still ther. His pitch recognition and timing has been a little off, but that will come around.

    He was at Fenway today. He'll be going to Pawtuckett tomorrow to play a few games. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the majors by the weekend.

    Lester was throwing very hard today. The gun at the ball park had him at 95-96 on several pitches.

    I was at the game, and I had a good seat on the third base side near home plate. He was early on most pitches or just under them. His bat didn't look slow at all. He seemed to be getting the bat through the zone quickly. I'm not worried about his bat speed.

    I'm not mentioning his contract at all. The FO alludes to his contract when they make that ridiculous characterization. He is not low risk, He is at a very high risk of sucking or being injured. Either way, it hurts the team's win total. Low cost does not equal low risk when playing the game.
