  1. I think we have a special jackass coach for him.
  2. It wasn't a little twitch or something induced by a runner. It was a false start. You don't see many balks as obviuous as that one.
  3. A bad balk byBurnett with runners on second third. Then Ellis plugs the RCF for an RBI double to make the score 3-0 Oakland.
  4. An RBI single by Gilbert Gottfried.
  5. With the bases loaded and one out, ARod hits into the 1-2-3 DP.
  6. These Draft Signing threads are about as interesting as watching paint dry.
  7. We should all hit the Hash Bar.
  8. Again, if you are referring to me, I have not advocated the acquisition of Padilla, so I don't know why you are throwing barbs at me. Go hit the Hash Bar and calm down.
  9. Have I advocated getting him? I just reported that he'd cleared waivers and had been released.
  10. By the time of his injury, he was out of his slump and he was hitting very well. He had 13 HRs and 43 RBI by the end of May. That's not too shabby. He missed 9 weeks with the injury and his wrist was not the same for the remainder of the season.
  11. Which is the result of enduring the worst slump of his career coming off a wrist injury.
  12. Vincente Padilla is available. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/9948250/Padilla-available-after-Rangers-release
  13. Only Youkilis and Bay have an OPS higher than .862
  14. He hit none in his first 35 games which iwas the worst stretch of his career.
  15. But he is entirely capable of hitting 10 in 40 games.
  16. He never has been great coming from behind, but he has been great at finishing when he has been ahead. This weekend he did something he hasn't done previously. He choked.
  17. He hit 11 HRs in 31 games from 6/6 to 7/11.
  18. Yes, I think he will. He's a streaky HR hitter, but when he is in a groove, he can hit 3,4 or 5 in a week. It will be difficult to do if they have Varitek batting behind him.
  19. That was missing from the CBS Sportsline game log.
  20. Oakland on 7/24 and Tampa on 7/29. What was the third one?
  21. Game over. Yanks got Fistered. Yankee fans have to be happy with winning a series, but Joba has looked like s***. He had two good starts after the All Star break. I guess the rest helped him, but he has had 5 bad outings out of his last 7.
