  1. He actually won an ERA title. Salty will never win anything, because he stinks.
  2. He is pitching very well lately. He had a very good major league career. We might as well see what he has left in the tank to get out major leaguers.
  3. In his last 2 starts for Pawtucket, these were his lines: Jul 15 6 inn 5H 1R 3BB 5K Jul 20 7 inn 7H 1R 1BB 5K It doesn't look like he is getting lit up lately.
  4. He probably doesn't need anyone to get to the playoffs, but they will need another big bat if they get to the World Series. The interleague play proved that playing with Ortiz on the bench is like playing with one arm tied behind your back.
  5. Who cares if it would suck for Miller. It would suck for the team.
  6. With a day off tomorrow, call it a day after 6 inn and go to the pen.
  7. In this weather, it is hard not to stink.
  8. I am happy with his production, but he still stinks.
  9. For us he would be.
  10. Walking the bases loaded. That's a recipe to end up in the minors. They should bring up Millwood to see if he can get people out. Otherwise, release him.
  11. Miller walks too many guys to be successful.
  12. The current crop of catchers is pretty sucky. Salty is in his element.
  13. AGon never should have participated in the HR Derby-- not coming off shoulder surgery.
  14. Ryan Dempster would be good at the bottom of the rotation.
  15. I've also said that I'd be happy if he hit .250 for the season taking into consideration that he stinks, so i don't know why you are arguing with me. I'm not unhappy with Salty. He can't help it if he stinks.
  16. Just because most players at his position stink, and many stink worse than Salty, doesn't mean that Salty doesn't stink.
  17. Is Ortiz starting to serve his suspension?
  18. Our upcoming rotation is Wakefield, Weiland, Miller and Lackey. Yuk!
  19. I watched the game in Chicago so iI saved an hour. Today, I am going to Wrigley to see Halladay pitch against the Cubs.
  20. The only thing that I disagree with in this post is the Sox need to platoon at DH. Ortiz is hitting lefties better than most RH hitting options.
  21. I think when the Sox last played the Jays the Sox were giving two set of signs even when there were no runners on base. I think Remy vaguely mentioned some suspicions.
