    I am not even the the oldest guy on TalkSox. I'm in the top 5. I know more baseball than the youngins here -- just from memory. And I am pretty sure that I have forgotten more about the game than most of them will learn in a lifetime. Admittedly, as each year passes, the amount that I have forgotten gets closer to the amount that I know.

    Doubs may be hitting a dead arm period. I think he will be okay. He looked good in Spring Training. I am a little concerned about the offense. We need Victorino out there everyday, but the guy is always banged up.

    Boo hoo, the WH is unhappy that they were used for an ad. Politicians use ordinary citizens and celebrities for photo ops every day. The team visit to the WH was a photo op. They are just sore that they didn't get a cut of the take. LOL!! Never fear government, you'll get your share in the form of tax revenue.

    I can't stand that tool Showalter. He always manages to outsmart himself. It is a pet peeve of mine when a manager looks to extend the lineup by putting a putz in the top of the order. The O's have a good bunch of professional hitters, but Schmucky Buck puts up a nobody (Lough) in the number 2 hole between Markakis and Adam Jones. This extends the order so that hardy is batting 7th. In the meantime, Lough couldn't even put a bunt down after a leadoff hit. Of course, now that I have pointed out the stupidity of Buck's lineup, Lough will probably beat us.
