  1. didnt look good at all. it sucks that something like this has to happen to a 22 year old stud hockey player with all the talent he has. id say theres a good chance he's paralyzed. best case scenario would be severe concussion. its definitely a career-threatining injury, possibly life-threatening. ill definitely be praying for him
  2. umm, this guy needs some help. what do they teach these kids over at UF?
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3077037 another good move by kevin mchale...
  4. atleast in october
  5. we just beat 2 out of the best 3 pitchers in the AL, twice each. No NL team has a chance agaisnt this team right now
  6. kevin youkilis, MVP of the series, hands down, no questions asked
  7. tomorow night its dice-k's turn
  8. i dont think anything would of distracted beckett last night. or during any other playoff game
  9. tito is a f***ing joke, u have to play ur best players in a game like this. Ellsbury is 10x better than crisp. no doubt about it crisp is a 4th OF on any good team, he f***ing sucks balls
  10. ya but the defense looked good and i liked how the offense looked, especially the starters playing together. the bench looked pretty good to, and the young guys like powe, pruitt and davis looked pretty good
  11. i know its only preseason, and they're playing the knicks, but the Celtics look pretty dominant tonight. there up 31 now, going into the 4th quarter. they should be very fun to watch this year and very tough to beat
  12. would have gone after Dice-K, he was the best SP available, hopefully he can get his head right for next year instead of Drew, would have gone with Jose Guillen or possibly Carlos Lee. if guillen struggled would have made a deal during the season. but he had a very productive season would have resigned a gon to play SS i also wanted the sox to inquire about aaron rowand during the first month of the season, when he was available. (i also mentioned eric byrnes as a possibility) a big upgrade to crisp. use crisp to get some bullpen help. rowand would probally go after the year ended and ellsbury would be in center next year. lineup youk rowand ortiz manny lowell guillen varitek pedroia (to start the season, probally would have moved up in the order like he did this year) agon i dont no about gagne, at the time i didnt mind it, but would have rather them get a more proven guy, without all the injuries and s*** gagnes been through. i dont think they gave up much, so its not to bad. but the sox FO should have scouted better.
  13. yes, but Tito doesnt have the balls to do it who the f*** cares about Crisps 8 defensive wins, Ellsbury is just as good as him defensively and can actually hit
  14. ya ur right, Francona is a great manager and Theo made so many good moves this season... Beckett needed to pitch tonight and Ellsbury should be in the lineup over Crisp, id even give Cora a start. if the offense isnt working, switch it up a little. i also dont like how he manages the pen sometimes, but already talked about that so im not going to repeat myself. only good thing about Francona is most of the players love him, so i guess he'd make a great bench coach on Epsteins part, i now its hard to judge him since some of his moves at the time looked good, but not one of them was good in the end. Drew--Bad Lugo--Bad Dice-K--Bad Okajima--Good. but only here cause of Dice-K and if you think otherwise, your retarded Gagne--At the time, people thought it was good, but a lot of scouts said Gagne was getting luck in Texas and his stuff wasnt as good as it was. Obviously, Theo and the Sox scouts thought otherwise. theres other little things to like re-signing Mirrabelli, but im not gonna get into all those now. think ive made my point epstein is trying to hard to go after the big names, unstead of doing what he did when he first came in, getting guys like millar, mueller, ortiz, etc. then going out and getting a proving vet like schilling. the big name guys havn't really worked out for the sox the last couple of years. only good thing about Francona is most of the players love him, so i guess he'd make a great bench coach
  15. i wouldnt be at all upset if they canned Tito, and Epstein for that matter i wouldnt mind seeing LaRussa with the sox next year
  16. i think it wouldnt be to out of the question to about fire francona at the end of the season. he's made a lot of questionable moves this series, IMO. 1. Josh Beckett should have started today, i dont no how u can say otherwise, this team needed a win tonight, not only to have a chance at winning the series, but also to turn the momentum a little bit back to the sox. now they've lost 3 games in a row and need to win 3 games in a row, 2 of which with schilling and Dice-K, who is an absolute mess. 2. Jacoby Ellsbury needs to be in the lineup. the bottom of the lineup is absolutely awful and have been automatic outs this series. give ellsbury a shot to play, he atleast gives them some energy instead oif crisp whos hitting .200 in the playoffs and hasnt had a clutch hit yet. Was Ellsbury really that bad in September... i wouldnt even mind seeing Cora play SS tonight 3. you also have to question how hes managed the bullpen the last 2 games. Eric Gagne cannot be used in a close game, period. thats a disgrace he started the 10th inning and blew the game. he should be the very last option in that game. I know we didnt have much left in the pen, but i would have gone with lester or wake. Gagne should be the last option. dont need to be a rocket scientist to know that. its not all his fault tho, we need another arm in the pen for the 5th/6th inning. Francona is way to predictable and needs to stop relying on his veterans so much and mix it up a little bit
  17. lugo and drew have done so much for us this postseason...and season...

  19. Beckett should be going tonight, Wakefields way to questionable to pitch in a game this important on the road. Becketts a good career 3 day rest pitcher to. 4: Beckett 5: Schilling 6: Wakefield (Dice-K's done http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AuMaL0el55StRWcRQ.yELSA5nYcB?slug=dw-francona101507&prov=yhoo&type=lgns) 7: Beckett also i'd switch the lineup a little bit tonight. id go with ellsbury youk ortiz manny lowell drew varitek pedroia lugo but it wont happen cause tito always sticks to his guns
  20. 1. no, hes getting older and want be as close to as productive as hes been in the playoffs. if he plays a whole year, which wont happen, id say 35 HR at most. 2. i think they will to, as long as they both stick around next year 3. he'll be on the DL for something 4. he'll be top 5, i dont no about him leading the league 5. yes 6. no, unless they make some changes. Okajima's ERA will be around 3.50 next year 7. Ellsbury and Pedroia will be a long shot, Dice-K has no shot
  21. dave roberts steal has to be top 10
