Id actually rather Pineiro, since Meche's away ERA is 6.86. But whatever the case, we need someone. Wells probably wont be it, Clement certainly wont be and we arent sure if Pauley will be be good. Theres also Lester, but 2 of these 4 guys need to atleast pitch well enough as the #5 as long as we get another starter

Meche's is 4.52 this year and hes been pretty consistent in his starts. Usually letting up somewhere between 2-5 runs in his starts except for 2 times. He let up 1 R his last start and 6 the start before. Much better than Clement, as Meche is atleast consistent.

i remember the Mariners asking for Trot during the offseaon. I think they were willing to give up Meche or Pineiro in return. Would anyone be up for that deal? Meche has pitched pretty good this season and could be a good 5th starter
